Breyer retiring

What if she is the first place choice?

Again, it’s absolutely time qualified women are considered, and most especially qualified women who aren’t white.

How would you judge first place choice out of the thousands of qualified candidates? Is there not something about diversity of experience and perspective that helps make someone a good choice?

I do not like that a large majority are Catholic and come from the Ivy League. I wish we had all kinds of diversity of thought up there.

You do not think Ketanji Brown Jackson has enough experience?

Isn't it likely that another nominee has demonstrated superior qualifications?

We'll never know because men and women of other races won't even be considered.

I don't believe you.

I strongly suspect you want the Court to be a closed shop rubber-stamping the advancement of DEMOCRAT interests and denying anyone else a voice.

You would only know of someone's qualifications if they are nominated? You cant look into it yourself?

I know Ketanji Jackson personally, her intellect is uniquely qualified in my opinion.

There are plenty of very qualified black women, why would he go against his promise? And if Republicans attack a qualified black woman, they will further cement the idea that many of them are racist.

You were the one who said he thought he'd pick Merrick Garland. You didn't even know about his promise. I think he 100% will keep his promise and explained why.

Do you think it would be racist to even hold hearings for a black woman? I'm sure you thought the same when Clarence Thomas was questioned about his views right?

I did not remember the promise.

I would expect hearings, but I am saying that it would be a bad move politically for Republicans to go after a black women who is objectively well qualified.

I do believe Ketanji Brown Jackson is very qualified.

And Democrats don't go after qualified Republicans? Soft bigotry of low expectations Jarod?

What qualified Republicans?

Cuz none of the Republicans on the Supreme Court were qualified to be there because they're all partisan hacks.

I am not saying its right, I am saying it is the reality.

It's done in a different way but it's almost like a TDAK mindset. Leaving aside he's a one trick pony troll he openly states black people are inferior. Yet here you are in a certain way saying the same thing, that a black woman isn't capable of being subjected to what everyone else on the court had to go through.

I think she has experience. SO have you ever supported a nominee with only a year on the Court of Appeals?

Don't recall.......there have been quite a few I have supported in the last fifty years........none of them were demmycrats though........you folks have such low standards......
