IMO, I think it's less political and more psychosexual per previous comments. As you pointed out, they like women to be put in their place as second to men. AOC and "the squad" are against that.

The sexual politics and desire to keep women subjugated seems to be the standard driving force...which is why the prominence of Republican women and Fox News women supporting that agenda is interesting to me. Exactly. They're more high profile, obviously, but no different than the typical American fundie Xtian woman who gives up her career and lifestyle to marry a fundie man. She can't cut her hair anymore, wear makeup, pants, go dancing, drink alcohol, play card games, go out with single girlfriends, have a job outside the home, and she can't have her own money. The odd thing to me is none of these women are FORCED to do this, as they might be in a fundamentalist Islamic nation, by their culture. They *choose* it. Why, I don't know. Security? How they were raised? Fear of not belonging?

Of course. To our generation and older (and you can throw in some younger RW males too), guys are the thinkers, the doers, the movers and shakers. Women are just accessories and baby-makers. You can always spot guys who think this way, even if their lips say something else. Just look at #TRE45ON and his vanity and pretense to be younger than his actual age with the spray tans and combover fake hair. He judges others by their looks and is afraid he will be so judged as well.
