Breyer retiring

my prediction is that 4 democrats, who are going to retire anyway, will fail to nominate a liberal justice quickly, forcing the rest of the senate to increase the seats on the supreme court. this will then spark a liberal rejuvenation to pack the court

How did that silly prediction work out for you?

Because its prima facie discriminatory to exclude all other races and genders and only consider one combination for preferential treatment.

That "one nation under God with equal justice under law" Islamidiotocracy national religion avoidance - acceptance "man is God" condescending arrogance brainwashing in their symbiotic conspiracy of Islam "death to the infidels" armed law & Christian Federal Lynching KKK drug trafficking enforcement "serve the Pope or die" Peter Principle pyramid scheme survival of the fittest fascists; which obviously is established law of suicidal super egos in sociopsychopathilogical homicidal human farming.

so i'm wrong 10% of the time. it's still a better percentage than you

The prediction could still happen which would lead to a silly "increase the size of SCOTUS war" every fucking time one side gained the majority.

I think the margin of control will be fairly evenly divided again with the Republicans controlling the House and the Democrats the Senate, both by narrow margins. Enough to make some Senators and/or Representatives key figures in the final vote.

Both parties are more invested in bettering themselves than the nation as a whole. They both, to mutual benefit, focus on wedge issues to the detriment of core issues like infrastructure and education...not to mention reducing the number of mental health cases running around free on our streets. LOL

A Third Party is always the smaller opponent, so it's in their best interests that, if they can't beat one of the other two then they should play the other two off of each other so as to let the opponents neutralize themselves by deadlocking over Party wedge issues. That's where Third Party can gain the same leverage as the Senators from Arizona and West Virginia.

Hahahahahahaha!

Another flaw in the US Constitution. Nothing rational about the only lifetime job in government--let alone in country--given to a Justice.

Actually, there is. The idea of a lifetime appointment removes them from politics. They do not have to raise huge amounts of money to run and do not need political approval. Hopefully, that allows them to do their jobs correctly and fairly.
Sadly, it is not working that way now. The wealthy are using their money to get votes from a couple of judges.

To me this sounds like he thinks Trump has a real shot to win the next election and he doesn't want to be replaced by a conservative. Smart move if you want to ensure you are replaced by a liberal.

Justice Thomas is clearly corrupt.
