Breyer retiring

Maybe.

Are you saying that a new justice can't be nominated, confirmed, and seated until after the presidential election in November 2024?

of course not......I'm saying that if Biden can't get his nominee confirmed before 2024 he won't be replacing Breyer......there is no guarantee that Biden can get a nominee confirmed.....and if he can't get a nominee confirmed before the dems lose the senate in 2022 it will be even harder for him to get his nominee confirmed before 2024.....

ten months and counting....

That has nothing to do with what I wrote. If you want to argue about what others have said then argue with them.

My position is the same, black woman to my knowledge are the most loyal supporters of Biden (and Democrats). If Biden goes against his campaign promise here (I don't think he will) he will feel pain at the polls imo.

You would think that these Republicans should be relieved that Biden is not choosing Hillary!

Got it. Thanks.

What if a black woman is the 4th best choice at the time?

What is this "Affirmative Action" bullshit?

PS: I disagree, it's racist and sexist as can be.
What if she is the first place choice?

Again, it’s absolutely time qualified women are considered, and most especially qualified women who aren’t white.

There are plenty of very qualified black women, why would he go against his promise? And if Republicans attack a qualified black woman, they will further cement the idea that many of them are racist.

Why?

Aren't there any qualified candidates regardless of race and/or gender?

Because its prima facie discriminatory to exclude all other races and genders and only consider one combination for preferential treatment.
