There are very few vets alive who fought 'for our rights'.

In fact, most veterans fought in a losing effort, as we have gotten our asses kicked in every conflict that we have started since the end of WW2.

None of those conflicts had anything to do with 'our rights'.

In fact, the black WW2 veterans returned home to a nation that refused them the right to vote, and forced them to exist in 'blacks only' stores/restaurants, etc.
