Florida is tough to pin down right now, because the public driveup sites in Miami Dade closed on Friday due to the hurricane. How that impacted reporting is difficult to know, but we saw a big drop from Sundays number to Monday's number, and now a pretty good sized uptick again today. There were also a huge number of deaths reported today, after a dropoff over the weekend. For Florida, they report the number only once a day, at about 11:00 A.M. Eastern. I think we are seeing a plateau in new cases in Florida, but an increase in hospitalizations and deaths, which are lagging indicators. In other words, just would you would expect as more drastic measures were taken to bend the curve here. If they start easing those restrictions, we're going to go right back up again.
Its pretty hard to have a documented COVID death from an non documented COVID death.
So what are you trying to say? That the numbers from NY are fake?
There's no excuse other than laziness and incompetence for COVID spiking in Texas four months after the NY outbreak.
