Related news: at least one doctor thinks the CHINA virus has already been in WV since there have been a cluster of people with flu like symptoms that tested negative for seasonal flu virus over the past 6-8 weeks. Could easily be true and if it is, the virulence of the virus is unremarkable with respect to the vast majority of people.

Also, if true, the actual number of Corona cases is a lot higher than the number of confirmed cases, nationally. This is probably what prompted the expert in OH to speculate that OH could have 100k cases of the virus.

But if all of this is true, look at the number in the OP title—and think.

What do you think of the projections for 200,000 dead Americans by 1NOV20? It's 135,000 today.

A mix of early reopenings and disregard for personal safety measures have prompted researchers to increase their projections of Covid-19 deaths this summer.

One model cited by the White House now predicts 200,000 US deaths from coronavirus by October 1 -- an increase of 30,000 deaths since last week's projection by the Institute for Health Metrics and Evaluation at the University of Washington.

That would mean an average daily death toll of more than 840 Americans since February 6, the date of the first known US death linked to Covid-19.

And this is very likely an undercount. Using the CDC death totals which come from death certificates submitted and recorded, as of June 13 the US had recorded 174,000 more deaths this year than the average of the previous 3 years.

That's because (for the umpteenth time) the ECDC correctly identifies and reports the true breakdown of stats and have been
all along. They have consistency. The U.S. CDC broke from that in mid-April and began rolling suspected, probable and
confirmed (by lab results) cases all into one big inflated total...calling EVERYTHING a CONFIRMED case.

Yet our death rate has indeed flattened...which TELLS us that obviously ALL those INFLATED case numbers are not ACTUALLY CONFIRMED.
