Also, if true, the actual number of Corona cases is a lot higher than the number of confirmed cases, nationally. This is probably what prompted the expert in OH to speculate that OH could have 100k cases of the virus.

But if all of this is true, look at the number in the OP title—and think.

So, CDC receiving and inputting death certificates are not actual numbers in your world. OK.

I have no reason to be embarrassed. You might want to rethink what you consider actual data.

Total deaths per week range from 13,000 - 17,000 more than the previous 3 years during April. That is total deaths without considering any cause of death. What do you think the cause is for this 20-30% increase in deaths? I am willing to accept any reasonable explanation.

It looks like there will be over 100,000 deaths before June 1.

That works out to 100,000 deaths in the 70 days since you were chuckling about only 61 deaths
 
This thread is a real archive of terrible observations and predictions, from a variety of posters.

It's interesting how they - and on a national level, people in the admin and at Fox, among others - just ignore how completely wrong they were a short while ago, and continue to throw out observations & predictions, as though they have a real track record on this stuff...
