Only 56 have died in Thailand, even less in Vietnam which has already opened up. Hope to go to Japan next month to see my son.

No they don't know but, If we have 1.5 million with the virus and you can get it again and again we most certainly would have heard of 2nd time cases (lots of them) by now. There have been reports of a few in South Korea that tested positive after recovering but no symptoms. A few sailors from the Teddy Roosevelt did likewise. With 1.5 million cases we would have heard of 1000's by now if there was not any immunity.

It seems you can't tell us which fine print you are referring to. The only fine print you have referenced is that numbers may not be complete because all the death certificates may not yet be in. That would mean the numbers can only go up. So if there are 14,000 excess deaths based on this week's numbers by next week that could be 14,500 excess deaths. This is shown in the numbers Week 15 had about 17,000 excess deaths recorded a week ago. Today it is over 18,000 excess deaths.

There is no doubt in my mind that, when all is said and done, an accurate count of deaths will be made using the same criteria the CDC and other medical agencies have agreed upon in previous years. For the moment, too many political types seem intent upon politicizing the death numbers up or down for their own aims. Sad.
