If you're not a health expert

Or you haven't studied viruses or illness or pandemics thoroughly & extensively: please stop.

You don't know anything. Even people who study this don't know much. It's "novel"...remember?

Stop w/ the "the flu is worse!" and "look at the swine flu!" and "it'll go away when spring comes like everything else!"

Just stop. You don't know anything. I don't either. No one really does.

We do know what is happening in China, Italy and Spain, however. It's not a happy prospect.

Interesting post. I guess I can appreciate your sentiment, but I find it interesting that you are only telling HALF of the argument to STOP. I didn't see anything in your post telling people who are talking about millions dying to STOP. Or is that implied? Using your logic, unless you are a doctor you have no business talking about how to pay for healthcare. Unless you are an accountant or work for the IRS, you shouldn't talk about the tax code. Unless you have ever shot a gun you shouldn't talk about the 2nd Amendment. Get the picture? I love how you leftists think you can try to control the narrative.

My posts are FACTS based on the numbers being reported. I have made no speculations about this "novel" bug. As far as the belief that this would likely tamp down when it gets warmer? That is based on historical fact of MOST viruses.

Here is a fun fact for you. Do you know that people still get diagnosed with H1N1 this year? Yeah, true story bro. Nobody freaking about it

But, thanks for your advice, but you can kindly go FUCK yourself. I will post whatever I want. Whenever I want. If you don't like it, you can fucking ignore my posts.

So everyone should just stop posting about corona here...focus on their families and communities and deal with the situation at hand...I'll share this suggestion, if I may....

But if you are repeating accurately the statements of these health experts it is good. If you are doing a right wing "naysay" routine, yes they should STFU.
They are just harming people.

Well you're entitled to your opinion of course, but when it comes down to it I don't need to be an expert just need to know way more than you.

Your essential problem is not your massive deficit of competency and expertise, it is that you seek out and magnify heterodoxy of expert opinion all the time, without exception.
Due to that, nobody trusts you. And they never should.

Well, I’m something of a health expert lol.

I protect myself from transmissible bugs on a daily basis as part of my job. I’m used to being exposed to Hepatitis, HIV, flesh eating bacteria, MERSA and all the other bugs that came down the pike. I’ll probably be exposed to COVID-19 at some point.

And don’t let the ‘novel’ word bother you. Every time a virus mutates it’s ‘novel’ and requires a new vaccine. H1N1 was every bit as ‘novel’ as COVID-19. Swine flu viruses have genetic segments from birds and other critters besides swine. They only have theories about how that happened—and they can’t rule out the possibility it originated in a lab somewhere. Though it’s unlikely. We should all hope so.

No need for panic, whatsoever. The measures being taken are draconian so it will very likely ‘knock the top off’ the Bell Shaped curved that all viral epidemics follow. The daily/weekly increase in mortality is *absolutely pedestrian* with respect to the measures being taken to counter it.

Don’t be surprised if it tops out in the hundreds. Then what?

I don't think that's what little Thingy is suggesting here.

Everyone will be delighted, obviously.

The data thus far by the World Health Organization says 132,000 infected globally with 5,000 deaths. Compared with all flu strains millions infected and 30,000 to 60,000 deaths per year since 2010. That suggest that this virus is not worse than the flu we have drugs for. BTW that comes from the people who's job it is to know this stuff.

Of course Havana groans. The 'climate expert' who knows so little about climate.

How dare you!

If you're not a leftist trying to hurt Trump's chances of reelection, please stop.

"Don’t be surprised if it tops out in the hundreds. Then what?"

Then we will have done the right thing, and you will complain, grouse and blame. In fact you will complain grouse and blame no matter what,
so why are you even asking?

You do not have to be an expert to see Corona has been badly mishandled. It is PI day and we still do not have testing rolled out. Trump is running around pointing fingers in other directions, but he is responsible. The qualities necessary to be a president are not the same as a businessman who loots customers and cheats contractors. Trump is the wrong man is the wrong place at the wrong time.
