legislating from the bench in manifort case

so the SIX mil in taxes he avoided paying is fine with you?

Yes. I believe it is the duty of every citizen of the United States to pay as little in taxes as possible

From a tax standpoint he is a patriot.

Now tell us about this legislated sentencing mandates your OP was predicated on

well you are as fucking stupid as a box of round rocks so your opinion is less than worthless

It is proper and just because the Judge said so. Do you think you know better than the judge?

The judge accurately pointed out that the only reason Mueller brought these charges was because of Manafort's association with Trump and Muller thought he could "squeeze" Manafort. The FBI had been investigating Manafort's misdeeds for years but never did anything about it until now. Why is that? Because this was a deep state witch hunt to get Donald J Trump. That is it.

It doesn't mean that Manafort didn't commit crimes. He did. But for some reason the FBI and other authorities who were aware of them in the past didn't see fit to move forward. You can speculate as to why. But, fast forward to 2018 when leftists believe there was some sort of collusion well all of a sudden it becomes time to "lean on Manafort" so they dust off years old investigations and go after him big time.

Only thing is, he has nothing to give them because there was no fucking collusion to steal the election you dumb asses. Ellis sees through the ruse and while he recognizes that Manafort broke laws and should be punished, he refuses to be a pawn in the deep state's game.

The sentencing was just. That you don't like it is of no consequence.

Now as to future sentencing, it would be inappropriate for a future judge to allow this sentencing to impact her decision don't you think? Nah, you probably don't. You want retribution. That is how totalitarians like you think

So, when a judge makes a ruling that you and your fellow Trumptardians are happy with, the decision was "proper and just because the Judge said so".

Had it been a close associate of Hillary Clinton who got a sentence that was 1/5th of the minimum for the crimes convicted of, you'd be foaming at the mouth right now.

Same with your yammering bullshit about his upcoming sentencing.

What an absolute fucking hypocritical sack of shit you are.

You not only contradicted the long espoused conservative stance on judicial activism, but you contradicted yourself.

For the record, I was not in favor of the judge handing Manafort what would amount to a life sentence, and I'm also in favor of the next judge giving him only a slightly longer sentence, maybe six years, and ordering it to run concurrently with his first sentence, rather than consecutively.

As long as he does about five years in the slammer with whatever gain time he's allowed, and as long as he and his family are financially ruined and they cannot further profit off of his life of crime or live in luxury off of money he made illegally in the past, I'll feel that a reasonable degree of justice has been served.

First of all you need to calm down and shelve the faux outrage. Secondly, you need to inform yourself.

This was not a "ruling". This was a sentencing. Judges have had leeway in sentencing guidelines forever. This is not unique.

Manafort's sentencing is consistent with hour people of his age, criminal history and crimes usually get. So slow your roll.

Manaforts investigation and subsequent prosecution had EVERYTHING to do with Trump and you know it. That isn't to say he shouldn't have been punished for his crimes, I am merely pointing out that he was on the FBIs radar for years for these crimes and they never pursued him

All of this was done because of Manafort's association with Trump. I firmly believe that had Manafort never been involved with the Trump campaign, he would have never been pursued by authorities. Remember that he worked for the Podesta's who are lifelong democrats. The Deep State does not go after democrats.

Word games and semantics are the purview of losers who have no argument to make. Ruling and sentencing are only different in a technical sense. It can accurately be said that the judge ruled on the sentence.

And, he went much lighter on Manafort than his crimes and long history of them merited.

You know what I meant, one way or the other, Oliver Wendell Homo.

But as I said earlier, I wasn't hoping for him to get the maximum sentence anyway, as long as he and his family do not continue to live in luxury off of his criminal gains or to profit off of his notoriety.

Manafort's sentencing is consistent with hour people of his age, criminal history and crimes usually get. So slow your roll.

What's your source on that? Or did you just pull it out of your ass as usual?

Well, no shit, Sherlock.

Of course it's about Trump and Manafort's association with him. He was involved in Trump's highly suspicious campaign shenanigans. That's what he gets for tying himself to the campaign of another criminal who had the temerity to get himself elected to the most closely scrutinized office in the world, knowing full well, or if he didn't know full well, he should have, that once in office, every detail of his life including his past, would be examined under a microscope.

You make it sound like when it comes to Trump, it's somehow not fair to treat him and his associates the same as every other President and their associates have been treated.

You Trump shills are the biggest fucking babies.

Snowflakes.

Remember that he worked for the Podesta's who are lifelong democrats.

When was Podesta POTUS?

The Deep State does not go after democrats.

Tell that to both Clintons, drama queen.

The Republican Deep State has been going after them for nearly three decades and hasn't stopped yet.

This statement all by itself proves my point. You won’t understand why

You have no point, sonny.

Never did.

The President is the one who always gets examined under the microscope.

If Trump hadn't let his big, fat grossly over inflated ego convince him to run for President, Manafort would still be free to continue committing financial crimes with Trump and his Russsian cohorts and Trump himself wouldn't be under countless investigations.

But that's just what happens when little punk bitches want to play with the big boys.

They both asked for and deserve everything they're getting.

Stop sniveling about it.

Hint to the left...
To legislate is to make (create) a law.
This judge SENTENCED a man.:palm:

Why do right-wingers always whine about judges legislating from the bench when they make a decision the right doesn't like?

Yeah, everybody knows.
