Costs are not doubled per GDP simply by going with private insurance you dolt. Our costs for damn near everything are twice theirs related to GDP. Our education is, our defense is way beyond theirs etc...
Costs should be paid for by those using the service. Taking care of the poor and low income that cannot afford it is one thing.
Private insurance is cheaper for most people than a corporate or government plan. Because it is tailored to the needs of the individual or family rather than some cookie cutter plan that covers 'everything' for 'free'.
'xenophobic'??? That is truly a feeble attempt on your part. I didn't say Europe was the sole realm of industrialized nations, I mentioned that five countries in Europe are buckling under their entitlements. How do you think they will pay for health care now?
You also ignore the obvious... the government, like the private sector, cannot afford to pay for everything for everyone... without addressing the rising costs of health care. They are going to ration services based on some government hack deciding the cost benefit of said service for an individual.
