Zimmerman

I believe both would be hearsay.

You could be right , I don't know. But since one was out there it's right that now both are. We'll find out what's admissible in court. That wont be decided here. But the fact is that the defense is attempting to influence the jury pool. So this had to be released. Obviously.

I think those are issues that only become relevent in the sentencing phase if he's convicted. If he is convicted of 2nd degree murder or manslaughter than the fact that he's accused as both a child molester and a racist could have bearing on his sentencing. Not sure on that though as I don't know how Florida sentencing guidelines work.

I disagree about the question of his racism.

If he was overtly racist and had a public record of such the Feds would have been all over him with "Hate Crimes" charges after Zimmerman had been permitted to walk. I intend to keep an open mind until I see reliable evidence.

I think you're wrong about the Feds. I think you have a lot of opinions on this that you present as fact.

Quite the opposite. I have few opinions on this as I don't know most of the facts. What we have been hearing from the media is unreliable to say the least. Where I have been outraged was when Zimmerman was permitted to walk when it appeared, to state the obvious, that a serious crime had been comitted. Now that public pressure has resulted in Zimmerman facing charges for his actions then I feel he is due his constitutional right to a fair trial. If he is found guilty of those charges I'll be the first to say "give him the severest sentence possible." but until I've heard objective evidence I'm going to remain open minded.

He is due a fair trial. A fair tril does not consist of allowing his defense lawyers to release propaganda from the Zimmerman family about what a non racist hero he is. That's all getting to the jury pool. Therefore, all statements to the contrary must also be released. It either all is or none of it is. Bias doesn't just cut one way.

If she personally heard racist statements I do not believe that is hearsay. Hearsay would be her testifying that a third party heard the statements and told her about it. But I am not a lawyer. If zimmerman's brother's statements that he is not a racist are relevant then so are hers. Period.

you are correct. If she heard it directly it is not hearsay and is relevant. Her comments about another woman who won't come forward is hearsay and that part should not have been made public as it is not relevant to this particular case.

That said, you have already convicted Zimmerman. So why do you care?

Being accused of being a child molester would have no bearing on the sentencing. Being convicted would. The racist charge might be relevant if his history shows a pattern of racist behavior... which to this point it appears it does not. The only one I have seen thus far to say they thought Zimmerman was racist was this woman.

See Mott? This is what hearsay is as far as I have been able to ascertain. And I researched it. But you came along and said you think it is hearsay. So that is one of your facts to which I refer. This is all starting to feel very Aaron sorkin.

To sf, I care for the reason I stated previously.

No a male coworker also said he had made racist statements to him in the workplace.

I think the prosecution will try build on that. It appears Zimmerman may have profiled Martin by his appearance (walking while black?) and the prosecution will attempt to provide additional evidence of racism by Zimmerman to prove this contention.

Amazing that libtardiots aren't giving a latino the benefit of the doubt. This is almost laughable. But, thanks for the reminder. I need to send more money to Zimmerman's defense fund.

Trayvon was a drug addled punk who unfortunately messed with the wrong person while he was all doped up. It is a sad tragedy. But it is a fact.

Imagine if Trayvon had just gone home? He might still be alive

YOU are free to believe whatever YOU want to believe good brother. It wouldn't matter to you how many people claim that he's racist.

"Witness 9" is a relative of Zimmerman. You think she might have some insight?

And again, I don't require a witness .. I know his record.

How is witness 9 related to Zimmerman ? Cousin ?

She says she was about 6 and that would make him about 8......weird.
