If true then Ukraine will slowly but surely be crushed. And NO,...of course I DONT WANT THAT! They are giving a valiant effort, but in the end they simply will not be able to hold up. Russia will simply double or triple their forces in country if they have to.

The Russians have not even come close to capturing the Ukrainian capital, but are being driven away. The Russian army and Putin are a joke. Total incompetence. The Russians cannot continue to maintain their massive losses of men and equipment.

And when that happens many of the left will still be armchair warriors behind their keyboards eating fucking doritos. Just saying.
 
Russia only sent in like 100,000 troops, plus they have air superiority. Every day Ukraine grows weaker. What happens when Russia doubles their troop strength meanwhile with every day that goes by Ukraine grows weaker. I do not like false hope,....it gets more ukranians killed. I hate war.

Exactly. Because they arent the ones dying. Real easy for them to talk brave from their own cushy couch. They should go give it a try. See how they like it. Wish this crap would have never got started.

No one is talking about sending troops. But it would be nice if conservatives stopped making excuses for Putin & subtly siding w/ him.

So, what's the option? The Ukraine should just surrender, giving Putin what he wants?

What stops him at that point? This is a war of nostalgia - Putin misses the old Soviet Union. I'm not sure what you're advocating here. The world should just throw up its hands & let him take over a country?

Succinct, and 100% accurate.

Imagine if a more powerful country than the U.S. suddenly gave us "terms for peace," or they'd invade. And then other countries blamed us for not accepting whatever those terms were.

Oh, yeah - a murderous dictator decided to turn into a war criminal and invade a peaceful nation. I almost forget about that with all of the excuse-making that conservatives engage in for Putin.

Truth is that if those Baltic states did not join NATO we don’t know if Putin would have tried to confiscate them. We’ll never know.
If I were Latvia, Estonia, et al, I’d be grateful I was in nato at this point in time.
Another truth is that Zelenskyy and Putin have both fucked up. Neither can be pleased with how this has turned out.
Only time will tell who is the ultimate loser but for now they both are, Uk being the biggest one .
Aside:
I wonder how towns in the countryside are fairing.

Agreed. Not what Im talking about now though. Im talking about realistic outcomes now. No NATO=NO UKRAINE.
