If there are women who have had abortions and deeply regret it...I feel sorry for them. But they exercised a choice. Denying others that choice to "protect" them from the choice...SUCKS.

No most women who get abortions do not regret it. That is an old and false meme created by the right, How many who did not get one regret that?
You rightys think a woman is a powerless incubation device. It is not her body carrying an unwanted baby for 9 months. It is yours to rule over. You assume so much power over another's body and life. Then, she is forced to have a kid and you are gone. The rest of her life is determined by you. If rightys think they have the power to force a woman to have a baby, then they should start a huge fund to feed and educate the kid., That is part of the results of your power. You should be responsible for healthcare too. You are not devoid of responsibility when you make a lifetime decision for someone else. Pay for your results. Be a responsible parent maker.

I had meant to add that MOST DO NOT regret having the procedure done.

It undoubtedly was a decision that involved lots of thought...and lots of emotion, but eventually a decision was made...a choice made.

The woman should have that right...and should certainly be able to exercise the right as safely as possible.

I disagree about the father not having a say in it. I believe in responsibility, Frank. There were two people involved, one should have been responsible because they BOTH knew the consequences. I guess we'll let it go at that, I don't want you to have a stroke.

Yes, I am glad too. I would hope I was somewhat productive in my life. I made my own way, no one gave me anything but good advice. Perfect? Nah, I fucked up a few times and hit a few hard times, but I got back up. Life goes on. But hey, except for those, I sure had a blast :cool:

I disagree, there are many non religious women who oppose abortion.
With a few exceptions, I steer clear of discussions concerning religion.

A guy that used work with me..his ex-wife got an abortion and didn't consult him. That's why she's his ex-wife. He was mad, and I can't say I blame him.

No one supports the killing of babies, viable babies. The majority of people do not support abortions past the age of viability, unless it is medically necessary, and then it is required by law to try to keep the child alive.
