I couldn't disagree more. Trump is just a cynical opportunist who may be in over his head. Cruz is a dangerous far right wing reactionary who is intransigent, ideologically rigid, has the fanatics absolutist belief in his cause and would guarantee to do at a national level what Jhindahl and Brownbeck have done at a State level in gaurenteeing failed government.
Cruz would probably have us involved in another ill advised and immoral war within six months of taking office.
Trump would certainly be bad news be he's not as remotely dangerous as a fanatic like Cruz is.

Cruz isn't a conservative. Kasich is a conservative. Cruz is a reactionary and an extremist who, thank God, has no chance of winning a general. Say what you want to about Trump but he has built a broad coalition. Ted Cruz has not.

Kasich is a moderate, big time. But I'll gladly take him over Hillary. That you would call Kasich a conservative is evidence of how far the electorate has lurched to the left. As if we need more evidence beyond Crazy Bernie's success lol.
I agree on Cruz' electability problem though. The media loves to destroy evangelicals and they're good at it. They will have Cruz resuscitating the Crusades and the Inquisition if he gains Traction on Trump.
Trump would very likely be a moderate president---people are beginning to see this which is why his collation is broader than anyone running. His biggest problem is going to be surviving the convention. If he doesn't get it on the first vote, he's probably not going to.

Kasich is in no way shape or form a moderate. You don't know much about Kasich at all if you think he's a moderate. Now compared to a far right wing extremist like Cruz he may appear moderate but hell so would Attalah the Hun.
You need to go review Kasichs record. A few compromises for the public good hardly makes him a moderate.

His policy positions are extremely conservative. Kasich is not a moderate. I like him because he's an intelligent person and authentic, but he's not a moderate.

I think any Congress would throttle Trump very quickly, dragging him back at every step. If you think the Republicans tried to hold Obama back, you haven't seen anything yet compared to what the next Congress would do to a president Trump.
My fear is that a Republican Congress would not hold a fanatic like Cruz back because he is an actual Conservative.
