Democratic political commentator James Carville has once again pinned the blame for President Barack Obama's troubles on the Bush administration, saying Americans' lack of support for military action in Syria is a result of the Iraq war.

Speaking to Fox News' Bill O'Reilly Wednesday, Carville said that people are concerned about war in Syria because of the "incompetence of the Bush administration in Iraq."



After O'Reilly posited that "the element here…is that many people think that Barack Obama is incompetent and he do this," Carville said that Obama has "handled the Middle East pretty well so far. Bin Laden…"

The Fox host interjected, "Really? You really think so," pointing to the "mess" in Libya and Egypt a "defiant" Iran, adding, ""it doesn't seem to be any clear vision on the part of President Obama. He doesn't have—'here is what I want.' He doesn't have that."

"You know, what I would say and maybe a little bit of a different view here," Carville responded. "I think what really is freaking people out is the incompetence of the Bush administration in Iraq."

"You're going to blame Bush?" asked O'Reilly incredulously.

"Of course, the Iraq thing is why people have so much trepidation about going into Syria. They said the last time we went over there, look what happened," replied Carville. "I really think this has something to do with it."

You are going to have to save your war mongering tendencies. Since when do we use our military to "punish"? We don't do "shots across the bow". You can OBOMBA can spin this anyway you want, but dropping bombs on people is an act of war. I think Carville is correct here. After the incredible debacle in Iraq where our president lied to us about the absolute certainty of Saddam's stockpiles of WMD's, the American public is leery and skeptical about ANYBODY's claims that would prompt another military incursion in the middle east.
 
Your attempts to cover for Obama's inadequacy in the middle east, and foreign policy is astounding. We have photos of long convoys going to Syria while we debated the desire to take away Saddam's ability to wage chemical, and biological warfare. They were there, and then they weren't, now I would think that is why Assad is using them.

Obama says he has "high confidence" that the regime is to blame -- the strongest position short of confirmation. But his administration has not released hard evidence.

you can't convince them with facts, remember everything that happens during this 8 year fiasco is Bush's fault, any disagreement is racism. It's the new democrat playbook, and if it doesn't work then it's republicans, want to poison your water, and make old people eat dog food same thing since carter, although it was the economy stupid for one election. Even though unemployment is still above 7% after 5 years of Obama-ism, it will get worse if Obama-care gets fully implemented.
