Worst president of all time? Worse than bush the lesser even??

To me, it matters less as to whether Shrub is fifth worst or ninth worst in history.

The question bothering me, is what kind of major political party in a western democracy nominates people like Tricky Dick, Spiro Agnew, George Dumbya, Dan Quayle, Dick Cheney, Sarah Palin, and Donald J. Drumpf.? That is without even mentioning the impeachable crimes of Raygun for illegally selling American weapons to the Ayatollahs of Iran and illegally financing a civil war in central America.

I mean, that uninterrupted record of abject, relentless failure, ineptitude, and criminality is just within one lifetime for many of us on this board! What the fuck is wrong with the American right wing??

not to mention electing a man strictly because of his skin color, twice, just to make some affirmative action statement. Obama is the black eye no pun intended we will never live down

It's hard to say, the pulse is barely beating on the left right now, let's hope for the countrys sake Democrats and their liberal policy is done for the next generation or two while we get back on track, otherwise we end up like most of the rest of the world, so-so

That's a pretty irrational, purely partisan viewpoint.

You guys don't like it, but Obama will go down as somewhere in the middle - at worst. The American economy was dire when he took over...in a complete freefall. By the time he left, the market had tripled, and we were almost back to full employment.

He wasn't a great President, but his legacy is much more solid than partisans think.

Nah - no crickets. Did you forget about the stimulus package that you guys said would send us into Depression?

It created & saved over 3 million jobs (CBO stats - non partisan). It stopped the freefall so the private sector could take over.

So, no - I'm not speechless, and there are no crickets. Sorry, dude - Obama won't go down as anywhere near the worst Prez. Your guy Bush left us in dire straits, and Obama got us back to normal. The "are you better off today than you were 8 years ago" question was easy for basically any honest American in 2016.

The OP stands. Bush is a top 5 worst. Barring something miraculous, I can easily see Trump going down as a consensus worst President of all time.

He was never experienced or qualified for the office, and clearly not mentally fit. He's really a clown; I can't say that seriously about any other President.
