it is impossible to make sure it could never happen as you would never know if someone beats your attempts to lock down the system.

Thus why trying to use that as justification for a system that EVERY SINGLE ANALYSIS has said works extraordinarily well is the thing of the poorly educated.

By your logic we could let you and Trump put in every single measure you want and claim it is secure and i undue that by saying 'we need new measures because you will never really know who is beating what you just did'.

It becomes circular and stupid but poorly educated magats fall for it.

“The dog’s vote was successfully counted in the 2021 gubernatorial recall election but was rejected in the 2022 primary,” the press release states...

....According to the press release, Yourex allegedly posted on her social media a picture of her dog in January 2022 “wearing an ‘I voted’ sticker and posing with her ballot.” An additional photo was allegedly posted on Yourex’s social media in October 2024, showing her dog’s tag and a vote-by-mail ballot with the caption, “maya is still getting her ballot,” despite the dog having previously passed away.

Wait a minute, close to 27 million people vote in California, over 8 million by mail, and you are generalizing from this one narrative that the whole system is corrupted?
 
The government keeps a website documenting stuff like this. Every election, there are a few hundred individual instances of fraud. It's all onesy twosy, and makes no statistical difference in the outcome.

Anyone who thinks elections should be perfect in that regard is mathematically challenged. We're a nation of 350 million.

There is no "massive fraud" as Trump and MAGA claim in their sore-losery way. It's impossible to rig a national election in the modern era.

There is no MASSIVE fraud. As I just posted, there are many instances of individual fraud every single election - something that is expected statistically. But nothing coordinated like Trump & MAGA keep claiming.

This is embarrassing at this point. A pathological liar who hates losing says "fraud," and half the country falls into line. He also said it in 2016, and called 2012 a "sham."

Both states where I have voted -- Missouri and Michigan -- have the same system. We registered at the DMV. We had to show photo ID, proof of residency, and a birth certificate or passport. We signed voter cards. Our signatures were then copied into the alphabetized books possessed by the election clerks. When you show up in person, you again show your ID plus you sign a card and a worker compares that signature to the one on record in the book. When you vote by mail, you sign the outside of the ballot envelope. They compare that signature with the one in that same book they use for in-person voting. If it doesn't match, the ballot is set aside and you are notified. If you don't come in and perfect it, it's tossed.

As you've pointed out, along with others including the Toadstool's own administration, there is no widespread voter fraud either in person or by mail-in balloting.

Republikkkans simply want to make voting restricted and more onerous because, as Phan pointed out, large voter turn-outs do not favor (R) candidates.

So if they covered their tracks well how would we know. :dunno: I'll give you an example of how they could sway the election in swing states where relatively few votes are needed. After an election worker separates a mail in vote from the envelope there are ZERO ways to identify who cast the vote. So one or two election workers that wanted to cheat could sway the election in their state and as soon as the envelope from the ballot and there is no way to detect the fraud.

Yes. The whole MAGAT voting fraud nonsense boils down to "There's mass voter fraud because Fox News [or Trump] said so." It's no different than "I know God exists because it says so in the Bible." It's the magical thinking of children, not adults.
