Women's soccer team - We are inferior but we demand equal pay!!!

Brainless jackass. If the women's team and the men's team played in a soccer match, the men would win 20 - 0. The women are inferior and it's not even close.

Most women sports charge less than men's sports to attend events, for ads etc. yet they don't bring in higher revenue. At the end of the day it is profits that matter but if we're comparing men's and women's soccer are you assuming they are being run the same way? One sport could spend far more than the other thus have lower profits.

Your OP was just anti-women. I have no problem with women being paid if they bring in the dollars.

Ok, take equal out of my statement if it will make you feel better. You're caught up with this men/women thing. If Team A generates more revenue than Team B it makes sense that Team A argues they should be paid more. (of course there are variables such as was this a one year anomaly etc. but you understand the point)

GAWD ALMIGHTY!!! How many times must the board explain this to you??? What matters is earnings not revenues!!!! Anybody can increase revenues by cutting prices. But then they lose money and can't pay the workers.

Dude, I understand the difference between revenues and earnings. Your OP showed no numbers regarding profits. You simply said the woman's game was inferior and they should be paid less regardless of the numbers. That has nothing to do with principle, that's just hate.

I'll give you credit sir, you play the role of a troll exceptionally well. Employees aren't paid based on profit. If I hire someone and pay them a salary or on an hourly wage I don't get to tell them, "well sorry I didn't make a profit so I'm not going to pay you" (unless you are going out of business of course).

Do you think an NBA owner tells it's players they aren't paying them because he didn't make a profit last season? If you have even a modicum of business intelligence you would understand that. The NBA collective bargaining agreement is based on league revenue, not profits.

Funny in one thread you claim to support the free market yet here you clearly don't.
 
This article breaks down the numbers more. IF accurate it seems women get paid more than men based on percentage of revenue brought in. They have much less of a case then.

If the above statement is true the women do deserve more money. Women make less in sports because they draw less revenue. People aren't paying several thousand dollars a ticket to sit front row for a WNBA game. The LPGA doesn't draw near the ratings Tiger Woods and the men get. Etc. Etc.

If the women soccer team does bring in the revenue they deserve to be paid as anyone else would.

Exactly. This whole women make $0.77 on the dollar bullcrap is garbage but what Text is arguing is ridiculously stupid on the other side. IF the women soccer players bring in more revenue they deserve to be paid more.
