Women's soccer team - We are inferior but we demand equal pay!!!

Joe Biden - "Time to put Trump in the bullseye."
As in all sports, women compete in a minor league since they aren't good enough to play against the men. Minor leagues always pay less.

march 31 2016 Five members of the U.S. women's national soccer team -- including Hope Solo, Carli Lloyd and Alex Morgan -- have filed on behalf of the entire team a wage-discrimination action against the U.S. Soccer Federation with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.

The filing, citing figures from the USSF's 2015 financial report, says that despite the women's team generating nearly $20 million more revenue last year than the U.S. men's team, the women are paid almost four times less.

"Recently, it has become clear that the Federation has no intention of providing us equal pay for equal work," Megan Rapinoe said in a news release, after also attaching her name to the filing along with Becky Sauerbrunn.

There's a reason you are a troll.

If the above statement is true the women do deserve more money. Women make less in sports because they draw less revenue. People aren't paying several thousand dollars a ticket to sit front row for a WNBA game. The LPGA doesn't draw near the ratings Tiger Woods and the men get. Etc. Etc.

If the women soccer team does bring in the revenue they deserve to be paid as anyone else would.

Are you willing to support that concept in all occupations?

If there was ever a time when a women's sports team should be paid equal to more than the men's team it would be the US women's national soccer team. They have done far more to further the sport of soccer in America and get kids involved than the men's team can or will ever do in the foreseeable future.

Am I willing to support that people who bring in revenue deserve to be compensated for it? Yes I am. That's what free markets are all about right?

I mean the concept of if you bring in more, you get more but if you do less you also get less despite having the same job TITLE. Liberals have pushed for equal pay for equal work yet when you get right down to it with them, their equal involves holding the same title rather than doing the same amount.

You're arguing two different things to me. Payment in sports is based upon ratings, attendance, revenue etc. If your sport brings in the money you deserve to be paid regardless of your sex.

I'm also not following your second part. If JP Morgan is hiring a financial analyst are you saying a man is automatically going to do more work and a better job than a woman? If that's your argument I don't buy that at all. I've seen lazy men and I've seen driven women.

If you thought that was my argument, you're an idiot. I don't base it on an assumption but the results. If the male (fill in the blank) actually does more and it's verifiable, should he make more despite both the man and woman holding the same title? It's based on results not speculation.

I'm an idiot because you can't make your argument more clear? Would you like to offer an example? What type of position are you talking about? Do you have an issue with the women's soccer team making more money than the men if they bring in more revenue?

I specifically said do more vs. doing less. I never mentioned specific genders when saying that. I did reference work load and title. You brought up gender.

A specific example isn't needed. Specific positions are irrelevant. If two people, one male and one female, are in a job with the same title yet the male objectively does more and the numbers show it, should the two get paid the same because of the title or should the male get more?

I don't have a problem with those doing more making more despite the gender. I've found, though, that many who argue equal pay for equal work don't base it on work load but on work TITLE.

So you're changing the subject from the OP. If does matter what the job is. If Person A and Person B are both financial analysts on $80K salary and there is a bonus pool Person A should get more if they demonstratively did more or better work. Or Person A will be promoted before Person B and get higher pay. Not every job is compensated the same so an example does matter.

You are arguing with a simple minded racist misogynistic hillbilly cwacko.
It' like trying to reason with a garden slug.

He's being educated by someone that you will never be able to be on such a high level. It's simply not in your genes. You're inferior and always will be.

Garden slugs have a higher average IQ than your kind.

I'll be the first to admit I have plenty to learn but you aren't educating me on anything. You are turning my statement that if the numbers are accurate and the women's soccer team produces more revenue than the men they should be paid the same or more into something else. I am a (big) believer in the free market. I worked for years on full commission in commercial real estate brokerage. You were paid by what you produced, nothing else mattered. It's not a difficult concept to understand.

Not all jobs do that. They pay the same based on title whether you do the same or not.

HAHAHA. You have the business sense of a cucumber . EARNINGS (revenues minus expenses) are what is important and they don't quote those numbers. Any business can have high revenues by lowering prices. GIVE US THE PROFIT NUMBERS.!!!!

That's what affirmative action is all about. Giving women equal pay even though they are less qualified.

The Women's Team is actually good, they win #1 or #2 year after year. The US Men's Team sucks balls and are a national embarrassment. No reason they should get more money.
