With Harris out, Democrats are only fielding Lilly White candidates

How did you explain it to cons when Ben Carson dropped out in 2016?

Sorry Christie, conservatives don't live and breath identity politics. That's your leftist racist bigoted plank, and the only plank the Left has left.

Just because a group is mostly one color, does NOT mean that group is racist.

Don't doubt me. :palm:

Black people were accepted into the Republican party, as well as Congressman and Senators long, long before Democrats figured out a way to use that to their racist political advantage.

Five Southern states with large black populations, who were allowed to vote only after 1870, weren't indicative of the entire US.

If they don't then what's the point of this thread? Both parties have fielded lily-white candidates for centuries.

Of the three old white guys Biden seems the most affected by age.

He’s nearly incomprehensible at times. I don’t think Warren can win the electoral college vs Trump. Between Warren and Bernie, Bernie has the best shot.

True, but he has always been prone to gaffes. His mouth goes faster than his brain.

You're doing it right now. Conservatives are obsessed with "identity politics." That's what the War on Christmas is.

You really do know nothing about your party's PC rules. :palm:

White liberals declared that wishing anyone a Merry Christmas is offensive and must be "banned speech".

On the other hand, Allahu Akbar is considered to be in a class of specially protected speech. Don't you dare ... insult Islam.

That would be expected in a mostly white country but, ...

"the first African American to become governor of a U.S. state. A Republican, Pinchback served as the 24th Governor of Louisiana from December 9, 1872, to January 13, 1873. He was one of the most prominent African-American officeholders during the Reconstruction Era.

It's YOU who are drawing conclusions. Blacks, when allowed, come out to vote every election.

The lie the racist white man made up about Black turnout only works on those who are easely fooled.

They didn't turn out to vote for Hillary in the numbers they voted for Obama.

Older blacks supported Hillary and younger blacks supported Obama (in 2008).

Which makes sense. Older Blacks were more likely to remember Bill Clinton.
But the point is, this bizarre conspiracy theory about white Liberals picking who Blacks can support doesn't have any basis in reality.

I agree. I think most have the unrealistic belief the "party establishment" controls the nomination. Party power is very decentralized and the presidential primary and caucus voters (although a very small number) will determine who gets the nomination. Although we saw efforts by the DNC to help Hillary in 2016 it didn't change the results (she still got far more primary votes).
