Like I said - this is the fight of our time. I don't care if you believe me or not, but I have actually thought about going over there to volunteer. It's a mistake to think that this is just about the Ukraine, or that Putin has any plans to stop there.
Putin is old school, KGB. He's been planning this for years. He wants the Soviet Union back.
They keep suckling on the dream that he'll be back.

His military is shit for the most part. They wont attack anywhere else,...surely not westward. I have a feeling this will get negotiated out in the coming weeks hopefully. Putin will get to keep the traditionally Russian areas which are relatively small, Ukraine will remain independent from NATO,...and the Ukranian people will get to LIVE and rebuild with the help of the world. Maybe Russia can kick in a % of its oil sales for a time to help rebuild it. BEST OUTCOME FOR ALL INVOLVED.

That said, let's say they have under 1000 of these Neo-Nazi White Supremacist cocksuckers. The Ukrainian Army has 196,600 active duty troops. That's not counting the fact half the 44M population country is there to fight. A 1000 Nazis is about 0.5% of the active duty and clearly a much smaller fraction of the total forces protecting Ukraine.

I definitely get that. But then part of me thinks that Putin gets that - and our fear of it gives him a license to go well beyond the Ukraine, knowing that the west is too afraid of what he might do if they try to stop him.
That's not the greatest alternative, either. It's as complicated as it gets. This isn't like bluffing in poker, where the worst that happens is that you lose a few bucks.
I have no solution on this one. I just hate to see him getting away w/ this, every single day. He's just murdering people and destroying lives.
