Jarod thinks someones opinion is just fine. He thinks because the word "convicted" doesnt appear in the 14 th amendment and "engaged in"does then each state secretary of state gets to decide the issue and screw due process.

You make excellent points here that the secretaries of state make the decision who is qualified to be on the ballot. You name age And birth place, names on a petition and other things unknown to you. No problems thus far. I would also suspect youd say that another qualification would be not to have engaged in insurrection. True? I think so so will press on.
Now each of the others, age, birth place etc etc can be verified through evidence such as a birth certificate, a petition of names but how does one prove they have not been engaged in an insurrection. I submit not having a conviction would be one from of proof otherwise without a conviction it's only an opinion that someone engaged in an insurrection.
How many do you think he will be found not guilty of or have dismissed?
