Will Trump be on your ballot?

The Supreme Court gets the final word.

Why do people assume the Supremes will support Trump? I know he packed the court with suckups and Thomas is a sure pro-Trump no matter what he does. But the other Supremes may not break the constitution and follow it instead.

I’m willing to bet some secretaries of state are going to decide Trump is inelegance for the ballot due to The 14th Amendment prohibitions about people serving as president who have joined in conspiracy against the United States.

All State Secretaries of State might be asked to make a determination.

If that happens it will be decided by the Roberts Court!

When has Trump been charged with sedition or conspiracy halfwit? You're not even a competent FAKE attorney with the bullshit you seem to shovel on this forum.

They can't unless he is convicted of insurrection.

That trial will not be done before the election.

If he is convicted it doesn't matter what they want, he will automatically be disqualified.

So it doesn't matter what they want.

And yet, NONE of the indictments list insurrection or sedition. :palm:

The same court that claims voter suppression and vote fixing is fine as long as it's done on the state level.

This should be interesting.

 Another willful idiot who doesn't have the slightest clue what they are bloviating about. MSNBC viewer obviously.

The state courts will make the initial determination, but I suspect it will go all the way to the United States Supreme Court to determine what they think the 14th amendment actually means., Like who decides he committed treason or sedition, does it have to be a criminal conviction or not, for example.

Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3:
No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President, or hold any office, civil or military, under the United States, or under any State, who, having previously taken an oath, as a member of Congress, or as an officer of the United States, or as a member of any State legislature, or as an executive or judicial officer of any State, to support the Constitution of the United States, shall have engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof. But Congress may by a vote of two-thirds of each House, remove such disability.

When was Trump charged with rebellion or insurrection halfwit? God you leftists with severe TDS are the dumbest liars on the planet.

I don’t think so, because the 14th amendment is a part of the constitution. The framers of the 14th amendment said “participated in” not “convicted of”.

I would agree with you if it was a criminal penalty, but this is about qualifications for the office.

What insurrection and how did Trump "participate" in one?

Interesting question.
If enough Republican SoS’s keep him off the ballot, that opens the door for a Republican besides Trump to be the nominee. ANY Republican would beat Brandon except one… Trump.

This is an inane narrative promoted by morons on the left who know little to nothing about the Constitution or our laws. Don't fall into the STRAWMAN trap. :palm:
