once we lose a free and unbiased media, we are screwed..and it seems like we are on our way.......most media today sounds and reads like Pravda..and now the Government is talking about bailing them out, so guess who they will be beholden too?

On our way, we had eight years of it during the Bush administration, let's hope it starts to go back the other way, but I doubt it. American want everything to entertain them, even our news. It is sad.

They won't believe you. Although this is what I saw too. Most other networks didn't carry it at all.

You kind of lose me, there. I would agree that Fox does not outright lie, but they are just as much a propoganda arm of the GOP as MSNBC is of the Dems. There is absolutely no question whatsoever that their news is slanted right.

This is fine; even conservatives say things like "You've got MSNBC & CNN, we've got Fox," and that is basically true. But to suggest they are not biased, or that they are REAL news, is not accurate.
 
nobody knows how to take things out of context and spin it like a liberal and the Democrats..

just look at their hysteria over fox news...and the way they try to marginalize it...

No they are not. They, Fox, are open about their conservative bent. They, unlike MSNBC however allow honest and open debate. I will also say that though CNN leans left, they still behave in a fairly reputable manner...

The whole lead up to the Iraq war, there was lie after lie after lie. McClellan stated that the White House under Bush fed news stories to Fox to "air". the White House gave Fox scripts to read on air promoting their positions! Shameful!

The problem with Fox is that their opinion shows are presented as "news", it isn't, it is Mr. Hannity's, Mr. O'Reilly's and Brit Hume's opinions and not the news, but some viewers, such as yourself, fail to see the nuances.

I disagree that their opinion shows are presented as "news." And besides that anyone who can't tell their opinion shows are just that, opinion shows needs a labotomy. I will not argue that they have a dis-proportionate number of right-leaning opinion shows though. Here is my take on Fox:

News (straight up news with Britt Hume) - OK
Morning show - right leaning and I like all three of them, especially Gretchen
Opinion shows - extremely right
Network programming - mostly vulgar.....don't watch it

But you gotta admit, they do something to attract viewers. My news comes from flipping back and forth among all three big ones and I even included the BBC last night.

MSNBC has conservatives on their network, both as hosts & guests, just like Fox does. I will allow that MSNBC is very biased left, though, just as Fox is biased right.

Fox has had "news" stories on the cover of their website that have blown my mind, and exceeded anything MSNBC has done for the left. Just last week, they had a picture of Obama as Stuart Smalley, with the sub-head "Smalley Diplomacy," claiming that Obama's "scared" foreign policy was emboldening our enemies.

Like I said, it's fine that conservatives have their network, but let's not make any bones about it. Since the election, Fox has definitely gone into overdrive as an arm of the GOP.
 
yes Fox might lean right, but it's the only news channel they have..
The Democrats have all the rest riding in their back pocket..
Just look at all the slobbering so called news about "The Obama"..it's been enough to gag a maggot..and soooo unbiased..pfeesh
