A.) Blacks here in New York went to the same schools as Italians, Jews, Irish Catholics, Poles etc.

B.) The discrimination against Jews & White Catholics in NY wasn't much better back then.

C.) Jews suffer a similar amount of hate crimes as Blacks in modern times.
Jews practically run the country & Blacks?

D.) We learn a lot about non Whites in school, maybe you napped through school?

We learned about Ancient Egypt, Mesopotamia, Aztecs, Incans, Mayans, Mongols, Ancient Han China, Hopi Natives, etc. etc.

We learned about George Washington Carved, Martin Luther King Jr, Rosa Parks , Frederick Douglas. Etc. Etc.

How is a 12 year old supposed to defend himself when his bigger friend who started puberty earlier, takes his brother's gun out of the dresser & puts it to their head.

I get your point, however there really is no other moment for that display available in NFL football. That's the moment when the country is treated as a sacred timeout.
If you can put on your "I'm pissed hat" and look through that lens, a pledge or anthem with flag and silence and respect
is an admission that you think there are no issues or problems. So then go to the next level and think about the act.
What could be done? They could turn around and shun the flag, they could look at it and wipe their asses and give it the middle finger.
So maybe a knee is a compromise. "I can't look like a lemming for America, but I'm not totally giving up." Taking a knee.
I think it strikes a correct note. Totally subjective of course. I do get your take. I don't think white fans should take taking a knee
as total contempt. It's "hey, we don't exactly see things the same, I'm not going to be pressured to pretend"

What do you think about my take.
