Why Russia is having a difficult time in Ukraine, aka Where's the air force?

Putin refused to discuss the idea in the past, esp. after his attacks on Belarus, Georgia and Chechnya. I doubt he'd accept now since he's the fucking aggressor here.

Putin, who is probably insane, are like Liberal gun banners and the West are gun owners minding their own business. Putin, paranoid at what the West might do, attacks first just like Liberals attack lawful gun owners as being guilty until proven innocent.

Putin and Xi dont see Russia as the aggressor, Russia has been trying to solve the problem of NATO aggression non violently for almost 20 years, the West sneered at them. .

Of course not. They're authoritarian assholes robbing their own citizens blind...and assholes like you support them against the United States and the West in general.

Why do we still have normal diplomatic relations with Russia?
What's the upside to it?
Shouldn't we just let them hang out to dry?

And why don't we have them with Taiwan?
Do you think the PRC will actually turn its back on its biggest customer? I don't.
There's normal commercial air transportation between the two countries, but they won't acknowledge one another.

Vastly outmatched by Russia's military, in terms of raw numbers and firepower, Ukraine's own air force is still flying and its air defenses are still deemed to be viable - a fact that is baffling military experts.

After the opening salvos of the war on Feb. 24, analysts expected the Russian military to try to immediately destroy Ukraine's air force and air defenses.

That would have been "the logical and widely anticipated next step, as seen in almost every military conflict since 1938," wrote the RUSI think-tank in London, in an article called "The Mysterious Case of the Missing Russian Air Force."

One theory is that Putin is afraid to fly many of his best pilots, for fear they will defect. I am not sure I believe that. Most pilots have family at home, so would not defect. Even younger pilots have parents and siblings.

More believable to me is that Putin is afraid to lose planes and pilots in this war. This is the first war at this level fought in over 70 years, and no one really knows how it will turn out. There is a real chance that there is a wonder weapon that will be supplied to Ukraine, that could wipe out the Russian air force. Putin does not need victory, so why risk complete defeat. He just wants to destroy the Ukrainian economy, which he is doing.

Why don't you send BLM?

I doubt a foreign, non-violent protest movement would do much against directly against Putin's invasion of Ukraine.

But undoubtably the Black civil rights movement, and American Black culture has been an inspiration to the color revolutions. Most have used Public Enemy's Fight the Power as one of their theme songs.

This problem is best resolved by the Russian people taking back their country from a dictator.

True that.

It's illegal in Russia to call Ukraine a "war". It's illegal to protest it. Mothers are asking where their sons are. As the body bags pile up and/or Russian soldiers disappear, never to be seen again, Putin is going to face problems worse than LBJ did in 1968.
