Why Russia is having a difficult time in Ukraine, aka Where's the air force?

https://share.newsbreak.com/l3wm1pvi

Vastly outmatched by Russia's military, in terms of raw numbers and firepower, Ukraine's own air force is still flying and its air defenses are still deemed to be viable - a fact that is baffling military experts.

After the opening salvos of the war on Feb. 24, analysts expected the Russian military to try to immediately destroy Ukraine's air force and air defenses.

That would have been "the logical and widely anticipated next step, as seen in almost every military conflict since 1938," wrote the RUSI think-tank in London, in an article called "The Mysterious Case of the Missing Russian Air Force."

Could it possibly be that the Russians have a different doctrine when it comes to the use of their air force than Western nations do?

Well, they're reportedly bombing from something in the air, and I doubt it's trained geese.

It could be that they don't want to hit their own troops or destroy the roads their tanks and vehicles are using, too.

Satellite pictures don't show that the convoy is being hit (unless I've missed something, which could be). And goose shit can be a major pain in the ass!

I don't see anything near the front of that convoy, no Ukrainian troops, tanks or vehicles anywhere near that convoy.
Hitting roads where it's hard to get around them would be a smart move. It would stall them enough for the planes and drones to hit them, making it harder for the convoy to proceed.

I was referring to the Russian air force.

Take Anything You Hear About This War with a Mountain of Salt

The battle in Ukraine seems to be one of the most covered and worst covered events in history.

You cannot spend more than two minutes on social media without crossing paths with a snippet of shaky cell phone footage of a Russian tank burning or some heroic story of sturdy Ukrainian resistance.

You have self-described "experts" everywhere trying to tell you what’s happening.

Maybe you think the Ukrainians are winning, that their counterattacks are driving out the Russian invaders.

There are plenty of sources saying 2800 or 5300 or some other oddly large and specific number of Russian soldiers are dead. All hail the coming victory!

Well, we’ll see.

But I understand that I, like you, am a target of information operations by Ukrainians, Russians, and even Americans. Get woke to it.

All that exciting footage? What do you know about where it was shot, or when? Nada. Zip. Zero.

We’ve seen people trying to pass off simulator footage as real battle video.

We’ve seen explosions and fires without context. What caused them? Who knows when all you have is the label on the video?

All those Russian tanks on fire? Well, guess what kind of equipment the Ukrainians use.

Don't believe a damn thing you see or hear right now.

Uh,

Why don't you send BLM?

The Thai government’s decision to declare the country neutral in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine has drawn ire among citizens and expatriates alike.

After a cabinet meeting on March 1 following a call by some two dozen Thailand-based ambassadors to condemn Russia’s ongoing invasion of Ukraine, Prime Minister Prayut Chan-o-cha, a former army chief, reportedly said at the meeting that Thailand would need to exercise caution so as not to damage its long-standing relations with Russia.

“We need to be composed and make decisions carefully. Thailand must maintain a neutral stance,” Prayut was quoted as saying by a source who was present at the meeting
