You must not be paying attention then. They all ready have the signatures lined up in Ohio to put it up for a referendum or do you have a problem with that too?
We'll see about that.
I bet they come up way short.

WTF are you talking about? I've never supported the impeachment of anyone or even fucking mentioned the topic. Though I probably would of supported impeaching Nixon I was to young. Try and stay on topic here dude and yea I am paying attention. I live in this State and you don't and I"m telling you, they all ready have the signatures. They only need 250,000 and they had those the day after the Ohio Senate passed SB#5. It's looking very unlikely that unless the house severly modified SB#5 that it would ever become law.no mott....you're not paying attention....
when the signatures actually gain steam, then get back to me. before then.....you're just a whiner. there are folks on both sides of the aisle who want to impeach their elected reps......my hunch is....you will only support the impeachment of pubs.... you will ignore the other citizens who want to impeach their reps......because it doesn't fit your world view.
We didn't need to. In Ohio if the governor signs a bill into law and the people don't like it then that bill can be put up for a public vote via a public referendum. I think the requirement is that those who wish to put the bill up for a public referendum must obtain a number of signatures that represent 6% of the total vote the Governor received during his election. In the case of SB#5 that would be around 250,000 signatures. Wisconsin does not have such a referendum law in place in their State. If Ohio SB#5 goes to Kasich with the anti-collective bargaining provisions intact then more then likely there will be a referendum on the Bill in 2012 in which case it cannot become law unless the referendum wins the vote. That seems to be unlikely as more then 60% of the people oppose it.Ohio did similar to Wisconsin it just didn't get anywhere near the same number of protestors or media coverage.
They all ready have the signatures and the Bill hasn't even left the house yet. We'll see about that.

Well then you need to get out more often. Nearly 2/3 of the people polled in both Wisconsin and Ohio are opposed to the restrictions on collective bargaining. The same with PA's Governors drastic budget proposal for higher education.
Well we will find out come election time but I think your very much trying to ignore just how unpopular these legislations are.

I think you are blinded by your 'I love me some union' mentality. The public, when presented with the entire story, does not tend to side with the unions.
This is a big plus to the public. Just pointing out the numerous states that already do what WI just went to and also pointing out that those public workers in those states aren't bound in chains, beaten with whips, raped, murdered etc... will pretty much put an end to the bullshit from people like you that they are being treated like slaves etc....
Yea well why don't you go up to a University Professor or a School Teacher or a Policeman or a Fire Chief and call them a low end public servant and see how that works out for you. That's pretty shameful of you 3D to try and marginalize people in that manner. Would "low end public servant" also include your father? If I remember correctly he's a WWTP/POTW Operator.
No sf, it's you who love you some fascism. Corporations are collectives too, mr. individual rights, and somehow it's ok that they're morally bankrupt. Corporations are just a legal abstraction created to cover exploitation, corruption and evil.
Translate the above to english, then translate it to any sort of relevance to what I have stated. Then we can talk.
Oh, so in other words, you have no effective rebuttal, and indeed are a collectivist of the corporatist/fascist persuasion.

AssHat, is there currently a national politician that you believe isn't a collectivist of the corporatist/facist persuasion?
Mott, I have never known anyone so out of touch with the pulse of America. Perhaps it's because you live in the armpit... maybe it's because you are a pinhead liberal? I don't know, but you are just out there in left field with this. All across this country, states are trying to figure out how they avoid going bankrupt. For some bizarre reason, liberal dims are running around proclaiming "there is plenty of money!"
SO what we actually have, is the Realists vs the Delusional. There are a tremendous number of people who understand you can't spend more than you take it, it is not sustainable, and will not work, and this must be changed regardless of how 'painful' it might be for some. Most of them also realize, we haven't even begun to feel real pain yet, because real cuts have not happened. You are still stuck on stupid, with the notion that we can tax more, and keep spending more, and you fail to understand you've been left behind. The left sees the Tea Party as some quaint little emotive movement that has probably died out by now, and won't be a factor in 2012... but I believe you are all dead wrong on that. I think the Tea Party message will still be a decisive factor in the next elections. Spending cuts are going to happen, and they are going to happen in much more drastic measure than what is currently happening in Wisconsin or Ohio. ....Hi Mott, I'd like you to meet Reality! Reality, this is Mott!
Out of touch? Dude, you're the last person to accuse anyone of that. First, I live here in Ohio and you don't. Second, I have family in Wisconsin and you don't. Third I've probably spent more time in Alabama (I have family in Phoenix City) then you have in either Ohio or Wisconsin. Besides, we only have to wait and see what happens to determine who is right and who is out of touch here. Ya'll can deny the polls all you want to, accuse them of bias, poor phrasing, etc but the facts are, in both Ohio and Wisconsin a large majority of the public oppose the actions of Governors Walker and Kasich on this issue.
