Why Obama is hard to beat.....

Obviously that is not true. LOTS of people milk the system. The more you turn the safety net into a hammock, the more people will see that hammock as nice place to be.

If it's such a nice place to be how many people do you know quit their job so they could go on welfare?

Let's be honest here. The goal of the Democrat Party is to have a majority of people in government jobs or government assistance, so that when elections come up these same folks are reliable Democrat voters. Hence your comment about voting "in your self interest".

Again, how many people do you know quit their job so they could go on government assistance?

So what type of government assistance are you on?

We've been over that before.

Of course not. Which President implemented ObamaCare? Who is running for President saying people are responsible for themselves? Who is the best candidate to take care of the less fortunate?

What's the Repub plan? Put the mentally disabled on a street corner and wait for "charitable donations" to be dropped in a cup?
You forgot Medicaid. Most in nursing homes are cared for via Medicaid dollars

Complaints of uncomprehending voters being ferried to cast ballots surface every election. And in a presidential race as close as this year's, with huge levels of early voting, any perceived irregularity is falling under intense scrutiny.

But federal and state laws are very clear - there is no competency test for voting. (the very reason people vote for Republicans)
Which explains why Romney is within the margins.

So you sit on your ass all day long hoping that the US will be as crappy a place to be as Canada. :nono:

Actually I sit on my ass laughing at bumpkins like yourself clinging to the old, tired, worn out ways of the past. It really is comical. I'm sure some creative individual could make a great comedy movie using assorted clips from the Repub primaries and the asinine comments made during the final presidential run. Things like raped women don't get pregnant as their body shuts down to suggesting school kids clean toilets to help support their families. Classic Republican comments.

Oh, well. It's all over till '16. I want to thank you personally for your contribution supporting those slap-stick comedians. :good4u:

Bullshit.

Not only is it bullshit but the ones with both hands in the public till are corporate but we hear nothing about that. The focus is on little people...the 47%. I don't expect this mindset to change which will be good for liberals and progressives in the future...we can hand them their asses again in 2 and 4 years. They are slow learners and have no ideas. They don't play well with others either.

These are all poor white trash republicans. The klan type.
Rich people know the stock market is way better under dem presidents.
Hillbilly bullies. Not cool

Oh really? Are you actually attempting to define a political party from a gaffe from one candidate who was soundly chastised by his peers?

One candidate? I mentioned two (Akin and Gingrich, the toilet brush salesman) in my post but there are more, many more. And it's not just this election. Recall Palin accusing Katie Couric of trying to trip her up by asking the 'trick' question, "What do you read?"

From vile to the absurd comments like these are not spoken by some minor players. So, yes, I am defining a political party by comments made.

Well, since that is the standard. I think I will define your party by these words.

"I know some white niggers too" Robert KKK Byrd

"Obama is light skinned and with no Negro dialect unless he wanted to have one." Harry Reid

"I mean, you got the first mainstream African-American who is articulate and bright and clean. A nice looking guy." Joe Biden

On why schools in Iowa are better than Washington DC Joe Biden said this "There's less than 1% of the population in Iowa that is African American. There is probably less than 4 or 5% that are minorities. What is in Washington? So look, it goes back to what you start off with, what you're dealing with."

"I'll have those niggers voting Democratic for the next 200 years." Lyndon Baines Johnson

"White folks was in caves while we was building empires... We taught philosophy and astrology and mathematics before Socrates and them Greek homos ever got around to it." Al Sharpton

"I think one man is just as good as another so long as he's not a nigger or a Chinaman. Uncle Will says that the Lord made a White man from dust, a nigger from mud, then He threw up what was left and it came down a Chinaman. He does hate Chinese and Japs. So do I. It is race prejudice, I guess. But I am strongly of the opinion Negroes ought to be in Africa, Yellow men in Asia and White men in Europe and America." Harry S Truman

"rather I should die a thousand times, and see Old Glory trampled in the dirt never to rise again, than to see this beloved land of ours become degraded by race mongrels, a throwback to the blackest specimen from the wilds" Robert "KKK" Byrd

I could go on, but when it comes to racism nobody can compete with the democrat party. The party of the KKK.

It's not okay to push people into voting for or against something because you are in a position to take advantage of them directly.

In HS we had a guy busted at our school who worked at a local home for mentally disabled people, he was busted after being caught buying sex with fricking buttered bread for gawds' sakes. It's got to be even easier to push them into voting for whomever you believe is "best" for them without regard to the reality that there is myriad opinion and taking advantage of these people is just disgusting.

Apple, rethink. You seem to be a decent person otherwise, but telling mentally disabled people how to vote and sending them in there is a disgusting personal violation by a person of power and trust in their lives even if you "believe" really hard that the way you told them to vote is "best" for them.

Did they threaten them with witholding their buttered bread?

People tasked with caring for the mentally disabled are obliged to direct them, to look out for their interests. Surely you agree with that. So, that being the case, which political party will best look after their interests? Which political party places health care as part of their platform? Which political party leans more towards helping the less fortunate and which political party continually insists the country can not afford health care for everyone?

Just take a moment to think about that. A political party telling people the country can not afford to look after the ill. There isn't an adequate word to describe such sentiments. Vile? Ludicrous? Completely insane? It's like saying we can't afford to put women and children first. We can't afford to rescue our prisoners of war. We have to leave them behind.

It goes against the very core of civilization. The ill, the poor, the suffering.....they are the first people we help, regardless of cost which, by the way, is another scam as every country with a nationalized health care plan saves money. How can instructing the mentally disabled how to vote be a violation when the people who care for them are responsible for their welfare?

You may think Apple is a 'decent person' to some degree.....but now you have his reply....and his thinking.....which reveals his logic.....

now you know, hes nothing but a creepy pinhead the will rationalize any despicable act of the Democrats and liberals to aid his Socialist/Marxist agenda

If looking after the ill and mentally challenged is Socialist/Marxist then I'm proud to wear the label. :)
