Why China and Russia can not match USS Gerald R. Ford

When the f-35 was designed it was unimaginable that our enemies could remove our satellites which provide the data links.

The Starfish Prime test proved that satellites could be destroyed. That was in 1962.

If so the f-35 is all the way useless, it wont be able to have any effect on the battlefield.

F-35's also have peer to peer network capabilities, which are constantly being advanced... And if all else is lost, they are still as useful as pre-network planes.

We still have been not told what happened, which almost certainly means that China Bloc hacked it....something that was not supposed to be possible.

If China could hack American fighters, they would save that for when it would do the most good(for them). They would not waste it to destroy a random plane today.

Thanks, Walt. And anyone that wipes out one of our carrier fleets will get the shit nuked out of them by our Boomers.

It would definitely be a huge line that the Chinese would have crossed. That being said, what they would never do today, they might think nothing of doing in 20 years.

But China is at a severe disadvantage in all this. They have seen that Russia could not get a swift victory against Ukraine. Taiwan would be exponentially harder. The last major war China fought was the Korean War, 70 years ago, so there is no one in the military with experience fighting a major enemy. The last time China had a major navy, they had sails. They have never had a successful amphibious attack. They are fenced in by islands... I could go on and on.

Maybe a major technology shift would give them the chance to win... But that would require a leap of faith, because often major technology shifts fail badly, and there would be no real way to test it before hand.
