I wonder how many times we have to point this out to dumbfucks like TDAK before they get it through their thick skulls. Lincoln would have been powerless to be the aggressor in a war to conquer the CSA, because America didn't have the will to commit to such a conflict.

It was no longer an American fort. They were also given the chance to leave peaceably but chose to stay. People seem to forget that many other military facilities has already been seized without any battles. The attempt to resupply Fort Sumter was the original act of aggression, again something that is forgotten.

I deplore many aspects of the antebellum South but they had a perfect right to secede and Lincoln's actions were those of a fascist in initiating an totally unnecessary war. They say that history is written by the winners and that was never more true than in this case.

You mean surrender.. The men in there were under orders, they had no say but to defend it, & you know it....

Yea, he was a great general for a traitor, but in the end that didn't matter did it, HE LOST, you know that line that some fools keep repeating over & over & over....:evilnod:
