The point is that the cops treated it like a legitimate attack from the beginning, and so did libs like me. And as the threads here show, libs are accepting that it looks like a hoax after the cops did their work.

I don't believe this is about Smollett, I believe in a roundabout way it's about trump supporters. What most cons are jumping on is the "MAGA" reference when they're making a judgment.

This is as far as I read this thread. I don’t criticize “liberals” in general for believing the guy at first, but here is my take on why we (and I’m including myself in the “we”) are following this somclosely. For me it epitomizes what I believe to be a marked and evident strong if not extreme liberal bias in the news media. The reporters were almost giddy thinking they could link such an attack on Donald Trump supporters. They spent two or three days talking about the fact that the attackers were wearing those hats and some even alluded that such people were typical of the president’s supporters.

So every time DT talks about “fake news” I understand why there are a huge bunch of people ready to pat him on the back and comment something like, “you’re dadgummed right.”

On a related note I see that the kid accused of mocking the Native American at the Lincoln Memorial is suing the Washington Post. All I can say is, “Go get ‘em, kid.”
