WHOAH EVERYBODY! Better look out for that inflation!

The effectiveness of the money based social hiearachy is intensified with inflation. That's why assholes like it.

Actually, assholes like it because deflation tends to spin out of control, while inflation does not.

Also, deflation discourages investment, and increase banker profits.

But inflation benefits them. Out of control deflation benefitst the little guy.

Sound business is sound business despite currency artifacts. Good investors would always consider that.

This would depend on how much debt you owe. The debt doesn't go away.

I think it's post #2. You said inflation is the beginnning of deflationary spiral.

Edit: it's #3.

Well, since the economy is cyclical, i.e. you go from one inflationary period through a deflationary period and back to an inflationary one, I'd have to agree with his statement at least in some respect. :pke:

And for Watermark, it is a bit early for the victory dance. The government spending hasn't even hit the streets yet.

You're retarded.

Economies don't have to be cyclical. That has just been the pattern of manipulation and bubble creation so far, so that we won't believe it as they throw us off the cliff.

Oh really? Name the last period of either inflation or deflation that continued on forever... barring the deflationary period we are in today which will end eventually.

By the way, you have proven yourself retarded many times over, so if I am then I must be in good company.

Past performance is no indication of future performance.

It's still retarded to view massive money creation as " the beginning of a deflationary spiral".

If you look at his first post, you will note that inflation is getting smaller not larger. Since it went from 4% to .03% (yes from a whole number of 4 to 3 one-hundredths) or so.

I hope you do know that .03 is smaller than 4.

Jan 2009 0.03%

Dec 2008 0.09 %

Nov. 2008 1.07%

Oct. 2008 3.66%

Sep. 2008 4.94%

Here is his original chart. You will note that as each month goes by Sep 2008 to Jan 2009 Inflation is getting smaller. They feared a deflationary spiral thus dropped 700 billion more on the taxpayer's back.

So, you are simply wrong. I never said that growing inflation is the beginning of a deflationary spiral and you couldn't read the original chart.

Where the hell did I say that massive money creation was the beginning of a deflationary spiral? I simply stated that Damo is correct when he says that every inflationary cycle is begun by a deflationary cycle and vice versa.

I have been saying all along that President Obama's spending plan will create inflation and quite possibly in the manner of President Carter's years. I also made this comment in that very same post:

And for Watermark, it is a bit early for the victory dance. The government spending hasn't even hit the streets yet.

President Obama's massive money creation hasn't even hit the streets yet. Using data from the last four months doesn't mean a damned thing. The question is what will the Trillion dollars do to the economy in six months to a year and beyond.

He said massive inflation is the beginning of deflationary spiral. That's retarded. Asserting that because "the market is cyclical" is retarded.
