Who told us "socialized medicine" was bad?

Every developed nation in the world uses it except us.

Every developed nation in the world has longer life spans and lower medical bankruptcy rates than us.

Better outcomes at less expense. It's just facts.

UYes, I know you're gonna find one guy who's pissed off about wait times or blames the death of his great aunt Sally on the system but anecdotes are not proof. The proof is in the numbers and the numbers say socialized medica works.
the goal is just to stop big pharma from killing us all.

you shouldn't actually want modern health care.

No, Son. She agrees with me and since you kids put so much stock in appearance I thought maybe letting her say it for me would make more of an impression.
She agrees with you? That's hardly a reason to listen to anything she says. Make a case for why anyone should pay attention to her other than she agrees with you.

Priventative health care is such a "diaster" that insurance plans cover it for free. Well, it's not exactly "free" since premiums have skyrocketed since most providers/hospitals now are for-profit. Why do you think health insurance company CEOs make such huge salaries?
Preventative healthcare should be paid out of pocket. That would keep the costs way down from what they are. Using insurance to pay for just about anything that's routine is asininely absurd. It is one of the main drivers of rising insurance policy costs. Those home and car maintenance policies are the same thing. They just drive up the cost of those services massively.

Irrelevant appeal to popularity. If everybody was jumping off a cliff would you do it too?

And virtually all of them have worse healthcare provision and quality. Look at the actual studies on this. The US ranks in the top 3 for quality of care in all of them. Our shorter life span isn't due to healthcare issues, but other things.
Better outcomes at less expense. It's just facts.

Crummier outcomes at less expense because the government doesn't give a shit about your health only that you don't cost them an arm and a leg--unless it's your arm and leg. It's just facts.

Socialized medicine only works well compared to socialized medicine. Go to Mexico sometime and see what their socialized medicine program is like, as one example. In Canada you could well die waiting to be seen for some condition. Canadians regularly come to Arizona to cross over into Mexico and use their private, pay as you go healthcare for prescriptions, dental, and general care because there's no waiting, the price if great, and the quality is equal or better to what you'd get in Canada.

One example:

One example:

our system is shitty for different reasons.

people go to Mexico for stem cell therapy.

its outlawed here because it's miraculous and works.

the government has forced the world to use these death products
What do you mean by 'death product'??
and suppressed real medicine and warped reality to accommodate big pharma profits.
Medicine is not supressed, NoName. True Scotsman fallacy. Buzzwords.
this is fascism, the "bad" kind.

please shut your idiot mouth.
Redefinition fallacy.

Buzzword fallacies (death product, suppressed, real medicine, big pharma, fascism, "bad" kind).

Go learn English.

TANSTAAFL. Nuthin' is free, Owl. You pay for that 'free' healthcare.
Illiteracy: Misspelled words, extra quotes, Missing commas. Missing conjunction.

I imagine they make better salaries than you do because they are smarter than you are.

Not hard to do. Medicare has been utilized for 60 years now. I've had it for seven of those years and like it far better than the employer-supplied plans I had prior to that.
Medicare is not healthcare, Owl.
Getting appointments is no harder, payments to providers are timely, my out-of-pocket is affordable. I have to get monthly eye injections to stave off blindness. Each one is more than $2,000. My copay is ~$400. My copay for breast cancer diagnosis, surgery, and follow up was a couple thousand. I don't have to wait months for appointments. My scripts cost nothing.
TANSTAAFL. Nuthin' is free, Owl. You paid for that health insurance all your life.
I'm joined by millions who use Medicare and are satisfied with it. I'd like to see all citizens covered.
It isn't free, Owl.
My youngest has MS and employer-supplied health insurance. Every time a test is ordered, or her meds are changed, her physicians have to argue with the insurance company which doesn't want to cover it. Her deductible is so high that she has to pay out of pocket for her annual brain MRI that checks for progression/remission. We helped her pay for the recent one. Her husband's late aunt also had MS. She did not have these hassles with Medicare.
I guess you decided to ignore the massive fraud.

Wow, you really are a desperately lonely crazy crack smoking moron, aren't you? I know you love the word fascist, but just because you like how a word sounds or looks doesn't mean you should use it for anything you disagree with. When you do, you expose just how stupid you really are. Go make a friend and start a study group for the English language. I just trying to help, again.
He doesn't know what 'fascism' means. He thinks it means 'union of corporate and government', whatever THAT means! Corporations, if course, are not government. They are private businesses, each trying to make a profit to survive. The only difference between a business owner and a corporation is that corporations have a constitution, called the corporate bylaws. This document describes how many shares the corporation has to sell, how many can be sold by the founders, what happens if the corporation dissolves, how the board is established, etc.; but it IS just a business in the end. It is not government.

Fascism is just a form of socialism. It is government manipulation of markets. It is but a stepping stone on the way to another form of socialism, which is communism, or government ownership of markets. (Source: Karl Marx)

All socialism is based on theft of wealth.

Socialism never works. It always collapses in the end, and brings misery the whole time.

Capitalism is the only system that creates wealth.
