The Wall needn’t be a virtually impenetrable barrier to be effective.

Tunneling can be made exceedingly difficult by pouring a concrete footer as little as ten feet deep. If someone wants to dig down that deep, with picks and shovels, and then horizontally for a hundred feet or so—they deserve to get in lol. And of course excavation equipment would be easily spotted.

The point is some people will manage to get across it—but the numbers will be manageable and it would almost certainly be the end of caravans.

There’s not a good objection to it—except that The Bad Orange Man wants it.

Since they have already found 100 tunnels, the current wall/fence does not stop that and neither will a new wall. They are using catapults.

I don't claim it might not stop additional illegal immigration, but the campaign promise was that Mexico will pay for it; thus, no congressional appropriations are necessary.

you can't catapult people.. Tunnels get found and filled in. Meanwhile the amount of any people thru a tunnel is vastly restricted as opposed to what we have now -mass migration walking across the border
