You really do sound like a bunch of stoned teenagers after overhearing Rachel Maddow ranting about Kilmar. Do you have any examples of citizens being scooped up and tossed into a prison in El Salvador without any opportunity to prove citizenship? No? I didn't think so.

Ok, an authoritarian leaning candidate wins the White House, some unknown American has dirt on him. The president calls INS and tells them he is illegal to arrest the guy and have him sent to El Salvador prison where he is to have no contact with the outside world.

Ah! Better! But typically overcomplicated. If I was the "authoritarian leaning" president, first, things have gone 180 degrees out of phase, and second, I for damn sure would be a jackass, because the first "authoritarian" thing I would do is take away the guns.

As for this pesky American who has dirt on me, I'd just call my new bestest buddy pooty poot and ask him to send KGB operative Boris Badenov over to poison the guy or expose him to some rare form of radiation.

If I still wanted to go the stupid INS route, I'd wait until my evil Nazi scientists have developed the mass hypnosis machine to keep the INS bureaucracy under control, and it sure would come in handy when I'm taking away the guns.
