The Chinese sent the world a gift but I'll play. I was a hell of a lot better off in 2020 than I am now.
Oh - an American President had a crisis he had to deal with?
That never happens. Poor Trump.

No one ever said we are a Democracy except in a few small New England towns.^^^ Another JPP member disgruntled with democracy. What would you prefer? A viking king?
The fact you don't understand how democracies work is average for JPP members....sad to say.

What we are supposed to be; a Constitutional Representative Republic.
What we really are: an Oligarchy.
Our Representatives do the bidding of their biggestdonations,
Not the will of those who vote for them.
Thanks for the vapid insults by the way, but you will not bring me down to your level.

Yes, thanks for the update.
Oligarchy. How do we fix that?
Agreed. How do we fix that?
Going into the 2022 mid-terms, what single issue is most important to you? Could you give us some indication of why that issue is so important to you as well?
Here's the list I have to choose from:
Climate change / the environment
Jan 6 / Trump's involvement therein
Economy / inflation
Abortion
Supply chain issues--like unavailability of baby formula
Illegal immigration / border issues, to include drugs
Crime / police / punishment
Russia-Ukraine
Something else (please list it clearly)
Only choose one, the one most important to you.
Jan 6 / Trump's involvement therein
Trump tried to overthrow our government using violence. Never happened before in US history.
1) The contest between democracy and tyranny: aka, NATO vs. Putin; China vs. The Quad; J6 insurrectionists vs. Congress.
2) Moral corruption in politics and public discourse: hate, resentment, toxic grudges, insurrection, pathological lying are more ubiquitous than common decency and steadfast honesty, in politics, in public discourse, and right here on jpp dot com.

Those are good ones.
As the wise man said, "We get the government we deserve". Every person in office was elected to office. We, the People, do it to ourselves.
So you admit that 1/6 was an insurrection? Small progress.

See Jefferson...
See? You disagreed with State's Rights by inferring the Feds needed to step in and force Michigan citizens to do what you wanted, which is to abolish unions. I disagree.
If Michigan wants to collapse their economy with all-powerful unions, that's on them. OTOH, if Michigan turns into a fair state where the rights of employees and employers alike are protected, then I think they'd do well compared to a shithole RW state with lowly paid workers and no benefits.
Just say 'No!' to tyranny

Translation: I only know the name Jefferson. Saw it on a TV show once. Too many black people.
Okey, dokey, goofy.

....and once again all of JPP is free to see the extent of your acumen and civility. No wonder you hide in a closet.
