obviously the economy is huge but the only thing that can be done about it is to stop adding fuel to the fire so it can resolve over time.

Biden has dumped a shit load of stupid regulation on the economy and it shows. California, likewise, has hurt the economy with state regulations like AB 5 (the Pro Act) that tries to force independent contractors into becoming employees and in many cases forcing them into unions. There's currently a work stoppage / strike against several California ports by these workers (in this case, truck drivers) who want no part of this law forced on them.
