What's your most important issue today?

What I possess is really none of your business. I think it's safe to assume I have everything you think I don't, though.

Unless it's a billion dollars. I do not have that.

Oh, and The body of David. I had that for decades; Now it's the body of Shrek or "dad", but I can still do most things. :dunno:

You know, like huck a riding mower into the back of a pickup truck. :dunno:

Good physical prowess is something I never had...until about age 70...and then I suddenly developed some skills. Maybe it was the golf...but it is one of the most satisfying changes of my life.

You are correct that what you have or do not have is NONE OF MY BUSINESS. I agree.

I just wish you could think more clearly about what is happening and what has happened.

There is no way clear thinking can come up with Trump being more than a con man...and a huge negative for America.

Oh but there is, Frankie.

Is Trump the fish-story-telling uncle? Yes! Is he bad for America? No!

I think the most important issue today is finding a way to cleanse America of trumpanzees.
If genocide isn't the answer, then partition is.

Yeah but, how did something that affects the people so much happen without them getting to vote on it?

Did Congress pass a law to that effect? I am not informed about this subject.

Nope.

It was strictly a SCOTUS decision...and opened the door for corporations and very wealthy people to donate huge sums of money which apparently greatly influence elections. Decision settled along ideological make-up of the court...with the conservatives in the majority and the liberal in the minority.

Repealing Citizens United is a step in the right direction. Seriously, did Citizens get a vote on that? Hmm?

Was it put to a vote by people? No.

People elect presidents, presidents appoint SCOTUS and after that its the Constitution that decides (most of the time).

Fix the real problem by making giving money NOT free speech then all businesses can do is their Constitutional right to lobby.

Removing silly amounts of money from elections would be a very good thing.

Trump is the worst thing ever to happen to our Republic...and that includes the Civil War. The damage he has done may never be remediated.

I can see that you cannot see it, but that's the way it goes.

You are younger than I and may live to see the full impact of what he has done. I may be lucky and die before it rears its ugly head in full force.

I suspect we are living the final days of the Republic, though. Some future Gibbon will write of the rise and fall of the United States of America. Trump and his enablers will be the focus of several chapters of that tome.

Aha...another non-capitalist American conservative.

Oh...the shit you poor suckers have to go through!
Matt has issues that better education won’t solve. The good news is that he won’t outlast his liver…soooo maybe 5-10 years?

I wholeheartedly agree.

Going into the 2022 mid-terms, what single issue is most important to you? Could you give us some indication of why that issue is so important to you as well?

Here's the list I have to choose from:

Climate change / the environment
Jan 6 / Trump's involvement therein
Economy / inflation
Abortion
Supply chain issues--like unavailability of baby formula
Illegal immigration / border issues, to include drugs
Crime / police / punishment
Russia-Ukraine
Something else (please list it clearly)

Only choose one, the one most important to you.

out of those? Economy/inflation.

Out of anything? Big Government/Government Overreach.

trump is a child molesting, Nazi supporting uncle, which is bad for America, especially when put in the White House.
Agreed. Even the Republican leadership going down to the States is both realizing that and trying to shift focus to the MAGA agenda, not the MAGA idiot, Pedo Don himself.

It’s only the poorly educated and mentally ill that are pushing Trump as their Earthly Savior. Everyone else knows it’s all about the money. Trump cost them money and, if allowed to run again, would cost both TPTB and the America voters even more. Therefore, Trump will never be President again. Besides, I doubt he’ll live long enough to go to jail or back to the WH.

Through Trump, the Republicans finally succeeded in establishing a RW activist theistic SCOTUS. IMO, that’ll hurt our nation over the next 30-40 years when competing against more enlightened nations. Like Russia, our nukes are only good for defense, not offense. We’ll stagnate with a poorly educated public trained only well enough to work on a factory. After all, why would we need more? There’ll be the rich and then everyone else. “We get the government we deserve”.

The problem with Citizens United is that it open the doors to those businesses to spend all the meony they wanted. Bezo’s billions gives him more votes than everyone on JPP combined. In fact, the entire United States. Same for other rich individuals and organizations. You bitch about unions (individual people) and then seek to protect the corporations/TPTB. Why? For your job? Give away your kids’ futures for some hard cash now?

Agreed. Limiting the amount of money is a very good thing. I’d also limit the time. Two fucking years of Presidential campaigning is 18 months too fucking long. Limit electioneering to something reasonable like, IMO, 6 months. 6 weeks would be better, but I’ll compromise for a win.

I think you'll be dead long before any of that comes to fruition, and see that as a good thing. You unAmerican POS narcissistic retarded turd!

That affected you how, men's room cum gulper? I'd say not at all.

No doubt you gulped a bit in prison, Matt…not that there’s anything wrong with sucking dick compared to being in jail long enough to do it. That’s point aside, Lurch’s Roe comment was correct: the Republican activist judges, many of whom perjured themselves during their confirmations, made law by negating a right.

If SCOTUS repealed the Second Amendment, as outlandish as that used to sound, wouldn’t that, like Roe, effectively be making new law? Isn’t that the entire point of RW activist judges? To slant the law to the Corporations and the Religious Right?

Fear is driving this.

It’s happening now, dumbass. You’re just to drunk and demented to see further than your next Social Security check.

You were a faggot anyways is what that means.

Yeah, I lied about not judging ya. You're a fucking faggot.

You're a fucktard that is so far off-base it's not even funny.

I never have, and probably never will get any kind of a Social Security check or want or need one.
