What's the deal with Republicans calling the Democratic party the "Democrat party"?

You democrats don't have a monopoly on the word democratic. It's not the name of your party, no matter how bad you want it to be and how often you call yourself that. It just doesn't matter

How come in every single other use of the word “democratic”, you are able to manage to squeeze in the last two letters? The Democratic Party should be called the Bureaucratic Party. While Democrat Party might be incorrect I fail to see how it is a slight.

1. How ironic, you calling me a GED dropout. The term "Democrat Party", like the term "Republican Party", is a proper noun. The word "democratic" is an adjective to modify a noun, proper or otherwise.

(It is noted that when used to modify the name of a country, that country is usually far from democratic. Perhaps this is the intent of using it to describe the Democrat Party.)

2. As stated previously, The Southern Man has been using the correct term years before Rush Limbaugh discovered it.

But, if I was going to name the GOP it would be the Dumbfuck Party. Especially, after spending time on this board. Not all Republicans are Dumbfucks, but the partisan core is fucking retarded. Which make the outliers look worse on average.
