What is Bush trying to say here?

9-11 was the worse attack on American soil with the possible exception of Pearl Harbor
1/6 was a riot by a bunch of hotheads that was a one and done without pre-planning

9-l1 and Pearl were planned with military precision

Is that what you think? Is that what you call thinking? 1-6 was planned by Trump and other crazy Repubs on the net for weeks" Do you think it an accident that Trump had speaker after speaker rouse up anger and hate ? Do you think it a coincidence that it was at the exact time the electoral college votes were being certified? How about it being down the street from where the joint session was meeting?

so we are back to Obama's "Islam is a religion of peace"

Are the Taliban peaceful? ISIS? Haqqani? etc. Biden is such a fucking dolt

President George W. Bush said "Islam is a noble faith"

Bush comments on Islam as religion preaching peace

Trumpism = extremism.

That's why some on the right don't like these comments from Bush.

Trumpism DOES = extremism. That in no way says it's the only extremism.

I already said previously on this thread that extremism exists all across the political spectrum. But it seems like only the righties on this thread are upset about Bush criticizing it.

What people on the right are those? While he may be right, who gives a fuck what Bush has to say now? Or any other former President.

Well, the OP for starters. Others joined in on this thread, as well.

They're upset w/ what Bush said. The OP said he regretted voting for Bush because of it.

What people on the right are those? While he may be right, who gives a fuck what Bush has to say now? Or any other former President. And progressism is extremism. That needs to be destroyed.

Then he just pissed on the hero’s of 9/11 and the victim’s families.

I officially regret ever voting for the man.

I have a different take. I don’t think he was disrespectful in any way to the memories of those who lost their lives on 9/11.

Reading through Twitter there are people on the right who don’t like the speech but this is always who Bush has been. He’s always been pro-immigration and used positive rhetoric towards immigrants. He called out Islamic extremism when in office but not the Muslim religion as a whole. It’s why I always laughed when people called him a racist. In his speech today he referenced those who want to defile national symbols. Maybe that can be interpreted in different ways but I don’t see that as a shot at the right.

He didn’t get into the weeds when talking about domestic extremism but I personally didn’t see an issue with it.
