I don't expect leaders to "do my will"... I expect them to lead. If he thinks that it is the right thing to do to build the mosque then carry that, or don't weigh in. This reiterating of the 1st, which nobody serious was arguing against, was a sad cop-out and an attempt to back-door it. Lead, follow, or get out of the way. In this thing, he should have just stayed out of the way.

Had Obama said something along those lines, he would be a national hero today.
