We're a pro-choice nation

Science does not say anything. Scientists do. Some scientists are like you...ignorant. They want to assert that from the moment of conception, there is a living human being.

There isn't.

The fact that a human life begins as a zygote is not the same as saying that a zygote is a living human. A zygote is not a living human.

There is debate about when a growing clump of cells becomes a living human being. That was even mentioned in the article you cited. Some people say it does not happen until the clump exits into the world; some say it happens with ensoulment. Scientists do not answer that question...in fact, the question may not be answerable. But until born, the growing clump should not have more rights than the woman in whose body it is being carried.

You are now free to crawl back under your favorite rock.

I know it is only science if it agrees with arrogant elitist Democrats like you

I am not a Democrat, Asshole.

Any thoughts that a clump of cells is a living human...is much more likely the result of religious indoctrination...than of scientific thinking.

Enjoy your religious thoughts as much as possible...I hope they make you more comfortable in life. Truly I do.

But keep them out of the laws of our land. They have no place there.

You too, TOP.

Gonna leave for the golf course in 20 minutes. Looks like terrific weather.
The only time to play when it gets this hot in the afternoon...
They're a bit concerned about the heat for Muirfield....but at least it's not going to rain...
Have a good round...

We're just going to have to continue to agree to disagree.. but I'm not wrong...;)

I do want a woman to have control of her own body... and do everything possible so that she doesn't have to make a decision to have an abortion... which ultimately is a decision to end a life that is growing inside her... she didn't swallow an acorn or an omelet... the decision to have an abortion is no longer just making a decision about her own body there is another developing body involved... that's just a fact... there is.
..from conception... let's urge women to be in control so that they don't have to make such a difficult decision... and I think you would agree that it's a very difficult decision...

Of course you are right.

Life begins at conception and ends with abortion.

What a woman does with her body is her business, what she does with her separate, unborn child is the business of the citizens of the states through their legislatures, approximately 25 of whom have decided that killing an unborn child is illegal.

More to come.

We need Billy Graham to tell women not to kill their own unborn children.

That should be taken into consideration...Strict laws should encourage women to make more responsible decisions prior to creating unwanted pregnancies...
(It's not a question if there are circumstances that are dangerous/life threatening to the mother or baby...)

Bull shit.

There is no reason the government should be telling a woman what to do with her own body...nor using the excuse that she is pregnant to do so.

Calling a zygote or a growing clump of cells a "living human" is almost certainly a religion-motivated thing...NOT A SCIENTIFIC THING.

So keep your religious guesses for your own use...and do not inject it into the national sphere. It does not belong there.

Indeed, TOP.

A woman can be told what they can and cannot do to their separate, unborn child. She can not kill it in approximately 25 states.

When I see women screaming in the streets for the right to kill their own unborn children, I am reminded of Doctor Josef Rudolf Mengele, also known as the Angel of Death. He killed...murdered babies too.

Your posts show you are a Democrat. Science only matters when it agrees with you

Only to a complete asshole. I have mentioned dozens of times that I am not a Democrat. I am a REGISTERED, capital "I" Independent.

I am what you assholes would call "a leftist." I am proudly to the left of people like Bernie Sanders (who also is not a Democrat) or Amy Klobuchar (who is.)

Science matters whether it agrees with me or not.

But I do not accept an opinion by a group of advocates as "science."

Fucking religion should butts its nose out of governance. We are not a theocracy.

So you are a far left liberal

I don't believe most conservatives when they say they are "pro life."

They have been the most pro-war over the course of my lifetime. Most were positively giddy about invading Iraq, which ended up killing 10's of thousands of innocents. Most are pro death-penalty. I heard some here recently who were ready to start WW3 over the Russian drone incident a few months back (which everyone has forgotten about now).

It's not about life for most of 'em. It's about controlling women. Same philosophy as the Taliban and other mysoginist groups.

You do see the difference between an innocent, unborn child and an ax murderer, right?

Killing of tens of thousands of innocents? How about tens of millions of unborn innocents? That would be the philosophy of the Taliban and other "misogynist" groups.
