We're a pro-choice nation

Hello ptif219,

The truth is it is a zygote, and embryo or a fetus. Children have birthdays. It's a long way from a pair of cells to a birth. A long process. Upon the completion of the process, a child is born. We have the technology to abort the process early on which is perfectly humane and a valuable tool on an over-populated world.

It is a mystery what those who think every birth should be legally required to proceed full term expect to do about over-populating the planet. Humans have already made such a mark on the planet the habitat is threatened for further expansion. Logically, humans should get coordinated and come up with a plan to avert the looming disaster. Such a plan would not logically involve introducing more individuals into the mix.

edit:

I just realized a negative pattern has been established and I have to place you on ignore. I previously reached out to you in a PM after you mouthed off to me; and asked if we could have cordial conversations where we don't go after one another personally, but there was no reply. The disrespect has continued. It is not polite to tell others what they think. I am willing to go halfway to have a respectful dialog, but no further. I am sorry. I cannot condone nor participate in an online abuser/enabler relationship. I gave it every chance, but now we are done. Have a nice life. Goodbye ptif219.

It is the mothers child growing and developing in the womb. The childs life starts at conception

The unborn child is alive in the womb.

It has its own separate heart, lungs and DNA.

Its heart can be heard and seen…if there is no heartbeat, the unborn child is dead in the womb. If there is a heartbeat, it is alive.

The claim by Republicans that life is sacred and begins at conception is completely situational.

talk about situational.......lib'ruls have baby showers if they want a child and abortions if they don't.......same unborn child suddenly becomes a parasite.......

Abortion is the act of killing (murdering) a live, unborn child.

If the unborn child was dead, there would be no need for an abortion.

How do you kill (murder) a child if it is not alive?

Ya esta.

So are you suggesting that in order to avoid tyranny...a minority should be able to rule over a majority???

that's exactly what happened when Roe v Wade legalized abortion in 1972......and when the courts imposed gay marriage laws more recently.......remember when California voted against gay marriage?.......

We disagree here, TOP.

Nah. I never play on week-ends. Leave Saturdays and Sundays for the people who cannot play on week-days.

And today it is raining.

Gotcha... that's very thoughtful.. today it's finally not raining (and much more is predicted for next week) so it's going to be packed here... Enjoy your weekend whatever you decide to do!

that's exactly what happened when Roe v Wade legalized abortion in 1972......and when the courts imposed gay marriage laws more recently.......remember when California voted against gay marriage?.......

Not sure of what your point is.

Do you think the minority should be able to impose its will over the majority?

I do not. I also do not think a majority should be able to run roughshod over the minority. The minority do have some rights the majority cannot abrogate. But I do not think the minority should run things.

Not sure of what your point is.

that under your standard, abortion should never have been legalized in 1972......its only accepted by the majority today because we've had two generations raised believing killing the unborn is a good thing........

I also do not think a majority should be able to run roughshod over the minority.

every unborn child is a minority of one......

Does Jewish law state that life begins at conception?

No, life does not begin at
conception under Jewish law. Sources in the Talmud note that the fetus is “mere water”
before 40 days of gestation. Following this period, the fetus is considered a physical part of
the pregnant individual’s body, not yet having life of its own or independent rights. The fetus
is not viewed as separate from the parent’s body until birth begins and the first breath of
oxygen into the lungs allows the soul to enter the body.

Does Jewish law assert that it is possible to murder a fetus?

No, Jewish law does not
consider a fetus to be alive. The Torah, Exodus 21:22-23, recounts a story of two men who
are fighting and injure a pregnant woman, resulting in her subsequent miscarriage. The verse
explains that if the only harm done is the miscarriage, then the perpetrator must pay a fine.
However, if the pregnant person is gravely injured, the penalty shall be a life for a life as in
other homicides. The common rabbinical interpretation of this verse is that the men did not
commit murder and that the fetus is not a person. The primary concern is the well-being of
the person who was injured.

According to Jewish law, is abortion health care?

Yes, Jewish sources explicitly state that
abortion is not only permitted but is required should the pregnancy endanger the life or health
of the pregnant individual. Furthermore, “health” is commonly interpreted to encompass
psychological health as well as physical health. NCJW advocates for abortion access as an
essential component of comprehensive, affordable, confidential, and equitable family
planning, reproductive, sexual health, and maternal health services

you've never explained why we should accept the opinion of rabbis from medieval times who believed the unborn child was just water?.......why do you ignore the science we've learned since 900 AD?......

I said that you fucking dick. "Yes they do refer those who are pregnant and don't want to have a child where to get an abortion but they don't perform them nor talk them into it."

the fact their abortion clinics operate under a different name doen't change anything except their tax deductions......
