Raskin is right, but I'd go one step farther. After we abolish the Electoral College, we should let the red states secede. Let those fat hicks fend for themselves.

Us fat hicks grow your food. Keep in mind, we keep the best for ourselves and send you the rest. Let's see if you can fend for yourselves.

I don't think that we should elect presidents at all.
Our form of government is a convoluted joke, totally devoid of efficiency.
We need a modern parliamentary democracy.

The prime minister can appoint a cabinet-member president to be the ceremonial head of state.

Minor exceptions? The five unelected presidents were John Quincy Adams, Hayes, Harrison, Baby Bush, and Trump. Minor exceptions my ass. Also, Nebraska and Maine are the only states that divide electoral votes.

WOW 5 whole presidents out of 46! That must be normal in your mind.

Why do we count Grover Cleveland twice?

I know that this is how it's done, but although there have been forty-six presidencies, there have been only forty-five presidents.
Just another thing that we get wrong.

Diesel the Weasel is living in a fantasy world where 3/4s of the States will ratify eliminating the EC and setting up a Civil War by dividing the US into regions by both political affiliations and resources.

In addition to your valid point about food, another point he doesn't understand is knowing where California gets its water.

I see little difference between Diesel and Trumpers except for political polarity: all are angry, violent, destructive and seek to destroy the United States of America.

Not psychiatric, Mr. Weasel; Psychology. Specifically behavioral psychology. I'm not here to help you or anyone else with "Amateur Psychiatric Evaluations".

My education and life experience is separating those who are stable and can be relied upon from those who should be left behind.

Online, it's more of a hobby and Turing Test exercise.

The fact I disturb you so much, Mr. Weasel, indicates I'm touching a nerve. That you recognize the truisms in my points on this subject area even if they are not 100% accurate.

 You're not even a good troll, Dutchy, although you dedicate the majority of your life to attempting it. Poor guy.

California gets its water from my property in northern Colorado, you colossally stupid fuck. I actually pity you and your desperate attempts to classify people you don't know and will never meet on a site like JPP. Think about your life and what it meant.

No, cracker, you don't grow my food. I know y'all like to think that you matter, but the US does not need one single one of you. You would die without the commerce-producing portions of the country.

Unfortunately, Oom's diagram illustrates land area, not people.

Nevertheless, America does have far too many defective people, and they constitute a very toxic minority.
It's not to hard to make a case for a Stalinesque purge of the political right by the political left.
I don't predict it, and it doesn't seem to be happening, but it would result in a vastly improved nation.

We will survive.

Wow. You really believe California only needs the water from your property? Fascinating.*

If California seceded, do you think Nevada and Arizona would continue to share water from the Colorado River with California?

If not, what do you think the result would be?

Hint: most wars are over resources and/or geography.

*I'm beginning to understand why you are jealous of your Myers-Briggs colleague. LOL

Yes, the blue areas are high density population areas AKA cities.

Neef, how many days before cities begin running out of food without resupply? Hint: 3-4 days.

Gasoline shortages will begin. The busiest fuel stations require multiple gas deliveries a day. US mail and package deliveries will stop. Deliveries to hospitals and nursing homes will stop leading to shortages of supplies such as syringes and catheters. Many major manufacturers, such as computer manufacturers, rely on “just in time” manufacturing and without those they cannot continue their work and cannot continue to employ many people.

Gas shortages will continue to grow to lead to skyrocketing price increases and long lines at the pumps. Grocery stores will stop receiving food deliveries thus causing to the start of food shortages.

The situation will become even worse. Gas stations will completely run out of fuel. ATM’s will run out of cash and banks would be unable to complete transactions. Trash will begin to pile up in the cities and neighboring suburbs leading to toxins and infectious organisms leaching into the soil, causing disease. Container ships, railways, and planes will cease operations. Food shortages will lead to public panic, looting, and hoarding. Food essentials, such as bottled water, powdered milk, and canned milk, will completely disappear.

All personal vehicles will remain still due to the lack of gasoline. People will not be able to get to grocery stores for food, get to work for an income or receive medical care. Hospitals will begin to run out of oxygen reserves.

Our clean water supply will begin to run dry. It’s important to remember that humans cannot live for more than a week without sustainable clean water.

The clean water supply will be completely gone and the only source of clean water will be through boiling. This will lead to an increase in gastrointestinal disease which will then exhaust the medical system that is already terribly overloaded.

When Trucks Stop, America Stops
The Food Industry
Every day, Americans purchase billions of dollars of groceries. Most of these goods are
brought to market via daily truck deliveries.
Significant shortages will occur in as little as three days, especially for perishable
items following a national emergency and a ban on truck traffic. Minor
shortages will occur within one to two days. At convenience stores and other small
retailers with less inventory, shortages will occur much sooner.
