I don't know where you work, what you do or your position in the company. I have no idea what your love life is like, if you've ever been married or desire to marry nor even your level of education..although I'm guessing four-year degree. Probably business.

What I do know is your attitude. Attitudes don't change much going between Real Life and Virtual Life. The chip you carry on your shoulder here on JPP is also on your shoulder at work...even though you make more effort to conceal it there.

Still, peoples attitudes are displayed by facial expressions, tone of voice, body language, etc. I have no doubt the attitude you show on JPP is on display at work for those educated or sensitive enough to see it.

We still have a republic, just like China, North Korea and the former Union of Soviet Socialist Republics in the particular way. What do you think a republic is? And electing senators by majority national vote would not be direct democracy any more than any representative election is direct democracy. The only direct democracy that still occurs in this country is the town meeting where local budgets and other small town matters are decided by vote of the local taxpayers.

By the way, the electoral college was not the preferred choice of a majority of the Founders. It was forced on them by delegates from the smaller states as a condition for ratification.

But that won't happen. Elections are pro rassling now. The outcome is known before the first vote is cast.

Because Senators were supposed to represent the STATE not the people. That's why prior to the 17th Amendment they were appointed by state legislatures and governors and not elected at fucking all.

The House represented the People
The Senate represented the States
The President represented the Nation

That's how it was supposed to work, not all three being beholden to the People alone. That idea started with more radical Leftist nonsense.
