The weapon I carried in Nam M-16 is already illegal for the general public to own. So your question means nothing. What part of it's already illegal to own a fully automatic weapon don'the you understand?

Your opinion is meaningless. The modern sporting rifles are not "modified" military-style assault weapons. The "penis extension" remark must excite you.
A shotgun is messy and doesn't always penetrate. A single hollow point projectile will suffice for self defense. You don't know what your talking about.

I have one of those, too. When I go shooting with the AR 15 and the Mini 14, I carry only one type of ammo. Both shoot semi auto, the 223, and have a 30 round magazine. One looks scary (opinion of the gun haters) and one doesn't.

Why is it any of your business what someone else does in the privacy of their own home including defense? I thought you lefties believed what happened in someone's home was their business?

You just hit the nail on the head. It isn't about rates of fire or magazine capacity it is all about looks. The AR 15 looks "evil" the mini 14 doesn't. Well said.

One of the forum's gun haters was put to the test. He proved two things while failing the test. First, he has no clue about guns and secondly, his opposition to the AR 15 is based solely on looks. He ranted and raved about how the "weapon of war" (AR 15) should be banned. I posted a picture of the Mini 14 and asked him if he knew what it was. The response was "don't care". Wouldn't you expect someone to care about the Mini 14 if it shoots the same caliber round, has the same size magazine, and shoots the same semi auto manner as the "scary" gun he wanted to ban?

Effin libs have never need Red Dawn. We need guns like the AR15 so we can defend our country.
