Wasserman Schultz

Crowdstrike reportedly shared all they had with the FBI.

since when is that good enough to base the entire lib'rul opinion on........if I had shared everything I had with FBI should the entire matter be dropped?......get your biased head out of your ass.....

And no, the claim that Russia interfered with the U.S. election isn't (solely) dependent on whether Russia hacked the DNC servers

????....since when?.......its the ONLY thing the left has relied on......there isn't anything else......there isn't even that......

And no, the CIA and the NSA didn't merely go along for the ride.

really.....list the things they did to investigate.....

Of course, there are good reasons for the FBI not to do independent forensics, ranging from not wasting public funds to do duplicate work, to the privacy rights even the DNC enjoys, even though your authoritarian leanings would love to see such rights to go away, and the government to have access to whatever they want to scrutinize.

no.....there aren't......do you think any of this would work in a court of law......."no your honor, we have no intention of producing any physical evidence the Defendant broke into the vault and removed the money, the bank has a right of privacy"........stupid fucking lib'ruls......

A White House Memo article on Monday about President Trump’s deflections and denials about Russia referred incorrectly to the source of an intelligence assessment that said Russia orchestrated hacking attacks during last year’s presidential election. The assessment was made by four intelligence agencies — the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Central Intelligence Agency, the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the National Security Agency. The assessment was not approved by all 17 organizations in the American intelligence community.

______________

That's a correction the NYT was forced to post. It's says the assessment was not approved by all 17 agencies. If the roles were reversed you would be calling Trump a liar at the top of your lungs.

That much is well-established and doesn't really require pointing out, at this point.

The interesting question is why so many people felt it necessary to exaggerate/lie about the IC assement vs Russia.

Anyone?

Newspapers issue corrections all the time. The thing is, they DO correct themselves. Most rational, sane people understand this, and do not consider it a LIE when they make mistakes like that.

And you're trying to compare that to Trump, who willfully lies, constantly, and NEVER corrects himself or backtracks? I mean, he got caught in the Trump Steaks lie, and doubled down by buying steaks at a local market, getting up on stage and calling them Trump Steaks - and then daring the media to fact-check him.

We've never seen lying on Trump's level.

What about the 17 agencies?

Can you tell me their "lie"?

the lie is that 17 agencies investigated it......there is also a lie that four investigated it.........and then there's the lie that one investigated it........the statement that Crowdstrike investigated it and spoke to the FBI is true......however, there's been no investigation over whether what Crowdstrike told the FBI was true........

No one every accused the intel agencies of "lying." It's the way the Bush admin manipulated and cherrypicked the intel - it was being "fixed around the policy." Pretty basic stuff.

a hair fine point of distinction.....okay, no one is saying the intel agencies are "lying"......the demmycrats are lying to us about the intel agencies.......

I have a high degree of confidence nothing will come out at all. For 6 months there have been leaks every which way about trump doing x y z. If there was anything substantial, it would have leaked already. I do agree they might try to muster some bullshit allegation for some rando low level dude to save face, but that's the best democrats will get. If at all.

True. But Mueller isn't going to go through all of this and get nothing. It would be a the biggest slap in the face of the Deep State ever. If they have to manufacture something they will

Like I said it may be some process crime bullshit like "perjury" because someone misremembered something; but they will get something.

It's not a "hair fine point." Agencies are supposed to gather intel - most of the time, it is very raw. They did not lie about the WMD intel - Bush did.

If we only had a dollar for every time we have to make this statement!

Cite?

Or are you lying again?
seriously?.....

I'm less interested in playing 'who's the biggest liar' game with you than in finding out why so many people in the media and government felt it necessary to exaggerate/lie about the 17 agencies.

Isn't this the same sort of thing you go on about when you bring the Iraq war up in every other thread? Isn't it your contention that the intelligence estimates were oversold then?

Why is this any different? Depends which party is doing it?
